She is classified as &#8220;at risk,&#8221; prompting coordinated \u2063search operations with law enforcement agencies.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/commentary\/\">  Commentary <\/a>  <\/p>\n<h2>Billionaire&#8217;s Teen Daughter Missing: Frightening Theory Put Forward by Police<\/h2>\n<p> <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/mlandry\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/mlandry\/%20\"><span>Mike Landry<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   April 26, 2024 at 4:17pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>The teenage daughter of a high-tech billionaire goes missing, and one\u2019s thoughts go to the possibility of abduction or kidnapping for ransom.<\/p>\n<p>Police don\u2019t think that\u2019s the case, but present a different theory that could be just as bad \u2014 or even worse.<\/p>\n<p>Sixteen-year-old Mint Butterfield was reported missing Monday, <a href=\"https:\/\/sfstandard.com\/2024\/04\/23\/slack-ceos-teen-child-reported-missing-san-francisco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The San Francisco Standard<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s the daughter of Stewart Butterfield, co-founder of Slack, the team communication software, and his ex-wife, entrepreneur Catrina Fake.<\/p>\n<p>Butterfield and Fake also founded the image and video site Flickr.<\/p>\n<p>Last seen about 10 p.m. Sunday at the home where she lives with her mother northwest of San Francisco in Bolinas, California, the girl was reported missing on Monday by her mother, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinsheriff.org\/community\/news-press-releases\/press-release-of-voluntary-missing-person-mint-butterfield-april-25th-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> from the Marin County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Underscoring authorities\u2019 belief Mint was not abducted was the report that she had left a note.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Mint\u2019s disappearance has been classified as that of a \u201cvoluntary missing person,\u201d according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, they consider her \u201cat risk,\u201d given her \u201ca reported previous threat of suicide,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s statement said.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Will this missing teen be found?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Fake \u2014 who shares a home with Butterfield in San Francisco \u2014 indicated her daughter would probably be going to the city\u2019s Tenderloin District, a center of crime, homelessness and drug use.<\/p>\n<p>Another possible insight into negative aspects of the girl\u2019s mindset was her bent toward transgenderism, as indicated by the sheriff\u2019s office statement that \u201cMint\u2019s pronouns are they\/them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Marin County Sheriff\u2019s Office is coordinating with the San Francisco Police Department in its efforts to find Mint.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, there has been misinformation disseminated through social media and other outlets regarding potential associates or persons who may know of Mint\u2019s whereabouts,\u201d according to the sheriff\u2019s department.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Mint\u2019s disappearance has resulted in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/shocker-fbi-officials-who-briefed-facebook-to-encourage-censorship-of-hunter-biden-story-are-dem-donors\/\" title=\"Shocker: FBI Officials Who Briefed Facebook to Encourage Censorship of Hunter Biden Story Are Dem Donors\">multiple social media posts<\/a>, such as that of social media personality Yashar Ali, who asked on X for help for \u201cmy friend\u2019s 16-year-old.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\ud83d\udea8\ud83d\udea8\ud83d\udea8\ud83d\udea8<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t ask for your help often, but I need it now\u2026my friend\u2019s 16-year-old has gone missing.<\/p>\n<p>Please spread this far and wide, and if you have any information about their whereabouts, call the number on this flyer. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CPIbwf2Ik4\">pic.twitter.com\/CPIbwf2Ik4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Yashar Ali \ud83d\udc18 (@yashar) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/yashar\/status\/1782837121885303061?\">April 23, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Mint\u2019s parents have a long history in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/looks-like-biden-putting-big-tech-insider-charge-reining-silicon-valley\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>.
