method by which to lose weight fast with almost no effort.<\/p>\n<p>But, as with any other deal with the devil, the use of this drug has taken a toll on many celebrities\u2019 appearances, sometimes leaving them looking almost worse than they did with excess weight.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/oprah-leaves-weightwatchers-sinks-stock-price-admitting-truth-weight-loss-drug\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ozempic<\/a> has\u00a0given their faces a gaunt appearance from which most normal people instinctively recoil.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors told NBC\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/health\/ozempic-face-rcna67737\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Today<\/a>\u201d show that the effect \u2014 known as \u201cOzempic face\u201d \u2014 results from rapid weight loss that the drug encourages, especially among older and middle-age women.<\/p>\n<p>It also happens with Wegovy, a similar weight-loss drug with the same active ingredient, semaglutide, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>The hallmarks of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/powerful-new-obesity-drug-set-become-game-changer-weight-loss-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ozempic face<\/a>,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/markets\/skincare-firm-vows-rid-ozempic-face-new-marketing-push\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zero Hedge<\/a>, are \u201ca hollowed-looking face, wrinkles, sunken eyes, and changes in the size of the lips, cheeks, and chin\u201d \u2014 all of which come together to make people look like Victorian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/sanctuary-city-paradise-tuberculosis-found-chicago-migrant-shelters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tuberculosis<\/a> patients.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, a fix might be on the way.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Would you ever take Ozempic to lose weight?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The CEO of skincare company Galderma announced a possible way to mitigate the dreaded \u201cOzempic face,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2024-04-24\/we-can-fix-your-ozempic-face-says-skincare-firm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a>\u00a0reported Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Flemming Ornskov said in an interview that the Swiss firm\u2019s Sculptra skin treatment and other fillers \u201cshould be able to restore this\u201d \u2014 meaning, a more youthful and healthy fullness in the face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that will be another growth wave in that space, which I will make sure to capture,\u201d Ornskov said.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg explained that Sculptra could help with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/john-goodman-virtually-unrecognizable-major-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ozempic face<\/a> because it increases collagen production, which helps diminish wrinkles and other signs of aging.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/actress-says-cosmetic-procedure-turned-spawn-satan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fillers<\/a> would help make people\u2019s faces look less sickly.<\/p>\n<p>Considering many of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/celebrities-rushed-mock-trumps-assessment-failing-country-now-deafeningly-silent-violent-gangs-take\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> celebrities<\/a> who have turned to this drug for weight loss probably did so for aesthetic reasons, the aesthetic deficiencies would probably be what they most want to alleviate.<\/p>\n<p>However, as \u201cToday\u201d reported, there are more side effects of Ozempic than just the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/1977-interview-108-year-old-woman-reveals-life-like-victorian-times\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Victorian invalid<\/a> look.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cAs the weight goes, your face does go, and you do get a gauntness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Significant weight loss with drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy, prescribed to treat Type 2 diabetes and obesity, can lead to changes in facial appearance, doctors say. <a 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The drug can cause severe gastrointestinal issues, from vomiting to diarrhea to even \u2014 according to <a href=\"https:\/\/lawsuitlegalnews.com\/news\/novo-nordisk-seeks-dismiss-ozempic-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lawsuits<\/a> filed against manufacturer Novo Nordisk \u2014 stomach paralysis.<\/p>\n<p>Now, as anyone who has taken antibiotics can attest, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/found-pineapple-stem-revolutionize-medicine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">modern medicine<\/a> has done wonders for our society, including eradicating diseases that were once a death sentence.<\/p>\n<p>However, many of the novel compounds and medicines have carried <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/osha-will-not-make-employers-record-worker-side-effects-forced-covid-vaccine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">severe side effects<\/a> \u2014 some of which were almost worse than the initial illness.<\/p>\n<p>The main cause of the ever-increasing rates of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/unfit-serve-obesity-epidemic-creating-recruitment-woes-national-security-risk-bidens-dei-policies-dont-help\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">obesity<\/a> in the developed world (especially the U.S.) has been a diet overfilled with mass-manufactured, low-nutrition, high-calorie foods, coupled with a lack of physical activity.<\/p>\n<p>Ozempic\u2019s status as a \u201cmiracle\u201d weight-loss drug, then, has only served to encourage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/op-ed-return-normal-time-beat-1-hidden-dangers-quarantine-unhealthy-lifestyles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lifestyles<\/a> that were not healthy.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing comes without a cost.<\/p>\n<p>Drugs that allow people to accomplish something ordinarily quite difficult with almost no effort usually carry <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/media-deploys-full-blackout-senators-forum-exposes-reports-horrendous-vaccine-side-effects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gnarly side effects<\/a> down
