This is part of the airline\u2019s cost-cutting initiatives, which will also limit its voluntary time-off programs. <\/p>\n<p>Southwest Airlines is not the only airline that suffered losses in its first quarterly report, with <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/airline-losses-southwest-american-317aafcf9ed80488fe4dacecb0abffab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>American Airlines losing $312 million<\/a> in its most recent quarter.
