Former President Donald Trump is entangled in numerous legal disputes nationwide and is central to two court cases. \u2063As he aims for\u200c reelection, he grapples with four court cases this week.\u2063 Arizona and Michigan indictments tie\u2064 Trump to election interference schemes, involving prominent \u2062individuals close\u200d to\u200c him without\u2064 direct charges against him.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Donald Trump\">Donald Trump<\/a> has been the focus of several legal stories across the country over the past day as he is also the center of two separate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"court\">court<\/a> proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>The former president is seeking to win another term in the <a href=\"https:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/white-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"White House\">White House<\/a> in November, but while his name has been in the headlines, it has also been at the center of four court cases this week.<\/p>\n<h2>Arizona \u2018fake elector\u2019 indictments<\/h2>\n<p>A grand jury in Arizona<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/2978781\/arizona-grand-jury-indicts-trump-allies-for-2020-election-interference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\" handed down\"> handed down<\/a> indictments for 18 people within Trump\u2019s orbit on Wednesday for allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election in the Grand Canyon State.<\/p>\n<p>Trump was not one of the 18 indicted, but he was strongly alluded to being \u201cUnidentified Coconspirator 1\u201d in the charging document.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDefendants and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/arizona-grand-jury-indicts-trump-allies-for-alleged-2020-election-interference\/\" title=\"Trump allies indicted by Arizona grand jury for suspected 2020 election meddling\">unindicted coconspirators schemed<\/a> to prevent the lawful transfer of the presidency to keep Unindicted Coconspirator 1 in office against the will of Arizona\u2019s voters,\u201d the 58-page indictment <a href=\"https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/cc1fad182b6d6f8b1e352e206\/files\/fa85cddf-ccc6-7dee-dd58-ff5e80d53b15\/Indictment.03.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Those indicted include attorneys Jenna Ellis, John Eastman, and Christina Bobb, along with Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward, state Sens. Jake Hoffman and Anthony Kern, and Turning Point Action Chief Operating Officer Tyler Bowyer.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, a Democrat, announced the indictment in a video posted on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs I have stated before, and we\u2019ll say here again today, I will not allow American democracy to be undermined. It\u2019s too important,\u201d Mayes said.<\/p>\n<h2>Michigan \u2018fake elector\u2019 unindicted co-conspirator<\/h2>\n<p>Hours before the Arizona indictment was announced, Trump was also revealed to be an unindicted co-conspirator in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/2383157\/michigan-attorney-general-charges-16-people-who-signed-letters-claiming-trump-won-2020-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"2023 indictment\">2023 indictment<\/a> of 16 people alleged to have attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election in that state.<\/p>\n<p>Howard Shock, a special agent for the Michigan attorney general\u2019s office, revealed Trump, Mark Meadows, and Rudy Giuliani as unindicted co-conspirators in the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The indicted people were charged with forgery and conspiracy to commit election forgery last year, and all have pleaded not guilty to the allegations levied against them.<\/p>\n<h2>Supreme Court oral arguments<\/h2>\n<p>On Thursday, the Supreme Court is set to hear a second case brought by Trump\u2019s lawyers before the high court this year \u2014 with his presidential immunity appeal. Trump has argued he is immune to prosecution for his actions surrounding his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election because the president has broad immunity for his actions in office.<\/p>\n<p>The argument from Trump was struck down by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, but the Supreme Court agreed to take up his appeal earlier this year. Oral arguments are slated to occur on Thursday before the full nine-justice panel.<\/p>\n<p>The appeal from Trump on his basis of presidential immunity has paused the case brought by special counsel Jack Smith against Trump on claims the former president attempted to overturn the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>Trump will not be in attendance for the Supreme Court oral arguments due to a different court case.<\/p>\n<h2>Hush money trial<\/h2>\n<p>The former president will be back in a Manhattan courtroom on Thursday as his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trumps-criminal-hush-money-trial-set-for-march-25\/\" title=\"Trump's hush money trial scheduled for March 25\">hush money trial<\/a> resumes.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The trial, which began with jury selection last week, took its usual Wednesday break but will reconvene on Thursday, with Trump required to be in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s criminal trial in New York City is on charges related to alleged falsification of business records in relation to\u00a0hush\u00a0money payments made prior to the 2016 election.
