filming of the upcoming Eddie Murphy film, \u201cThe Pickup.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The scene had been previously rehearsed, according to an unnamed spokesperson from Amazon MGM Studios, the studio producing the film, and \u201call safety precautions\u201d had been taken.<\/p>\n<p>Another unidentified source, said by <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/accident-eddie-murphy-pickup-georgia-9bc583f5c0eb75875e31712b1c9b5ed9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Associated Press<\/a> to be \u201cclose to the production,\u201d said that a truck \u201clocked up and hit a car\u201d during shooting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe injuries ranged from bumps and bruises to broken bones, the person close to the production said,\u201d according to the outlet. \u201cTwo crew members were taken to the hospital, and one remained hospitalized Tuesday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll are expected to make a full recovery,\u201d the AP added.<\/p>\n<p>The studio provided no official comment on the number of people involved or the extent of their injuries.<\/p>\n<p>None of the films primary stars \u2014 who, in addition to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/eddie-murphys-snl-monologue-enrages-bill-cosbys-team-back-hollywood-slave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Murphy<\/a>, were reported to include Keke Palmer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pete-davidson-smacks-heckler-called-racist-using-term-master-bedroom-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pete Davidson<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hollywood-star-eva-longoria-recoils-pushes-bidens-wandering-hands-away-white-house-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eva Longoria<\/a>, Andrew Dice Clay and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/anti-trump-ex-nfl-star-marshawn-lynch-fire-allegedly-cussing-children-using-sexist-language\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marshawn Lynch<\/a>, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/accident-on-set-amazon-mgm-the-pickup-several-injured-1235879831\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> \u2014 were on site at the time of the accident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several members of the crew were injured as a result,\u201d the studio spokesperson said in a statement cited by the AP. \u201cWe are still in the process of gathering facts on what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe well-being of the entire crew and cast is our first priority, and we will continue to insist on the highest industry standards of safety while filming,\u201d the statement added. \u201cAll safety precautions were reviewed prior to and monitored during the shoot.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Are you a fan of Eddie Murphy?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>According to the AP,\u00a0The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees was also looking into what happened, presumably because the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/multiple-people-hospitalized-after-shania-twains-tour-bus-is-involved-in-rollover-crash\/\" title=\"Multiple People Hospitalized After Shania Twain's Tour Bus Is Involved in Rollover Crash\">injured crew members<\/a> were also members of that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/us-teachers-union-held-event-straight-soviet-playbook-voting-age-students-drafted-march-polls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">union<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIATSE is aware of an accident that took place on the Georgia set of The Pickup and have started an inquiry,\u201d the crew union said in a statement cited by the Reporter.<\/p>\n<p>A second production unit was filming the scene, which generally means that the film\u2019s main stars aren\u2019t involved in the scene and the director is not usually present.<\/p>\n<p>The AP\u2019s anonymous source, who wasn\u2019t authorized to speak with the media, indicated that the scene was typical for such productions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a completely freak accident,\u201d the person told the AP. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t even a complicated or dangerous stunt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Reporter described the film as a \u201cheist comedy\u201d \u2014 perhaps similar to another Murphy film, 2011\u2019s \u201cTower Heist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/things-to-do\/georgia-entertainment-scene\/eddie-murphy-coming-to-atlanta-for-amazon-comedy-film-the-pick-up\/JCEOEUQ3CJANLNUXQI6BSZY37I\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Atlanta Journal-Constitution<\/a> reported earlier this year that the film, which it called \u201cThe Pick Up,\u201d would be shot in the Atlanta area through June.<\/p>\n<p>The AP
