During the discussion of his memoir, &#8220;Everywhere an Oink, Oink,&#8221;\u200d Mamet shared\u2064 insights into his life \u2064and political transformation, stirring debates in the\u200b entertainment sector.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet certainly has a way with words \u2014 and he did not mince any when he delivered a blistering takedown of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/diversity-equity-and-inclusion-dei\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion<\/a> (DEI) standards that now limit him and others who share his profession.<\/p>\n<p>Mamet made the comments during an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/story\/2024-04-21\/david-mamet-hollywood-diversity-dei-initiatives-festival-of-books\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a> with Los Angeles Times deputy entertainment editor Matt Brennan and the outlet\u2019s\u00a0Festival of Books \u2014 hosted by University of Southern California \u2014 where he was promoting his memoir, \u201cEverywhere an Oink, Oink.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDEI is garbage. It\u2019s fascist totalitarianism,\u201d Mamet told Brennan. His memoir, which was published last fall, tells his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tim-tebow-at-march-for-life-i-now-get-to-share-my-story-because-my-mom-gave-me-a-chance\/\" title=\"Tim Tebow At March For Life: \u2018I Now Get To Share My Story\u2019 Because \u2018My Mom Gave Me A Chance\u2019\">life story<\/a> in a series of anecdotes \u2014 and follows his political metamorphosis as well.
