President Biden&#8217;s administration allocated $7 billion to the &#8220;Solar for All&#8221;\u200c initiative, aiming to equip low-income households\u200b with solar panels. While the goal is emission reduction and cost savings, issues regarding\u2062 solar panels&#8217; environmental effects and financial burdens on low-income families have emerged due to the substantial investment in these \u200cprograms.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/commentary\/\">  Commentary <\/a>   <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/aanton\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/aanton\/%20\"><span>Allison Anton<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   April 23, 2024 at 4:06pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>The average citizen could only idly wish for the kind of delusion that has enabled President Joe Biden and his administration to try and spin gold out of the rotting straw of inflation, without any hint of awareness that it was their fault.<\/p>\n<p>As but one example, look to his brag on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platform<\/a> X on Tuesday, wherein he said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, my Administration is investing $7 billion in a new program called Solar for All that will enable over 900,000 low-income households to have solar on their rooftops for the first time.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Today, my Administration is investing $7 billion in a new program called Solar for All that will enable over 900,000 low-income households to have solar on their rooftops for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Solar for All will give folks more breathing room \u2013 and cleaner breathing room at that.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 President Biden (@POTUS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1782563790778740826?\">April 23, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Because, people struggling to pay their mortgage under the crushing weight of inflation and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/turkeys-lira-sinks-again-as-erdogan-cites-islamic-sharia-law-to-defend-economic-management\/\" title=\"Turkey\u2019s Lira Sinks Again as Erdogan Cites Islamic Sharia Law to Defend Economic Management\">high interest rates<\/a> were just dying to get solar panels on their roofs.<\/p>\n<p>Never mind that, as journalist Michael Shellenberger explained in a piece in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/michaelshellenberger\/2021\/06\/21\/why-everything-they-said-about-solar---including-that-its-clean-and-cheap---was-wrong\/?sh=51dc4a325fe5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forbes<\/a> explained all the way back in 2021, solar panels have been found to be highly toxic, and are often destined to clog landfills worse than used clothes.<\/p>\n<p>Shellenberger cited a piece from the <a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2021\/06\/the-dark-side-of-solar-power\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harvard Business Review<\/a> \u2014 titled \u201cThe Dark Side of Solar Power\u201d \u2014 that studied the environmental impact of widespread use of solar panels, including early replacements by individual property owners as well as the technology\u2019s adoption by commercial enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe problem is the sheer quantity of the hazardous waste, which far exceeds the waste produced by iPhones, laptops, and other electronics,\u201d Shellenberger wrote. \u201cThe volume of waste expected from the solar industry, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0956053X20303706\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found<\/a> a team of Indian researchers in 2020, was far higher than from other electronics.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Do you support the president spending $7 billion on solar panels?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>While Shellenberger acknowledged that solar panels aren\u2019t the only high-tech product that will result in environmental problems down the line, he stressed that they are a particularly dangerous factor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the toxic nature of solar panels makes their environmental impacts worse than just the quantity of waste. Solar panels are delicate and break easily. When they do, they instantly become hazardous, and classified as such, due to their heavy metal contents. Hence, they are classified as hazardous waste. The [Harvard Business Review] authors note that \u2018this classification carries with it a string of expensive restrictions \u2014 hazardous waste can only be transported at designated times and via select routes, etc.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other words, it\u2019s a recipe for destroying the environment.<\/p>\n<p>But, Biden and his posse of tone-deaf idiots see it differently, just as we saw with the massive boondoggle-waiting-to-happen that was the Green New Deal. It was an environmentalist\u2019s dream come true and a nightmare for every other American \u2013 a massive spending spree that would do nothing but waste money and hurt middle and lower income Americans. And here we have it happening all over again, only on a much smaller level with this disastrous plan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSolar for All will give folks more breathing room \u2013 and cleaner breathing room at that,\u201d Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dhs-secretary-says-12k-illegal-migrants-released-in-u-s-in-recent-weeks-could-be-even-higher\/\" title=\"DHS Secretary Says 12K Illegal Migrants Released In U.S. In Recent Weeks: \u2018Could Be Even Higher\u2019\">social media post claimed<\/a>. Sound familiar?<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/biden-earth-day-solar-grants-epa-climate-5bece7e419e9141241287575abb0fefc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Associated Press,<\/a> Biden\u2019s vast expenditure for this purpose was supposed to save households a good $350 million each year, while reducing emissions by the rough estimate of 30 million metric tons of carbon dioxide.<\/p>\n<p>So, Biden seemed to think that it\u2019s a win \u2014 for 900,000 American househ0lds to save a combined $350 million by the federal government spending $7 billion?<\/p>\n<p>As AP informed readers, part of the reason for this initiative was to sway young voters back over to Biden\u2019s side, many of whom have gone sour on the octogenarian thanks to his fence-sitting approach to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-golden-gate-bridge-completely-shut-protesters-swarm-area\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel-Hamas war<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But, though that might sway some of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/longtime-democratic-strategist-james-carville-scared-young-voters-turning-horrifying\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">young voters<\/a>, Biden brag about spending gobs more money the country doesn\u2019t have ignores a more significant issue, one of far more importance to far more potential voters.<\/p>\n<p>As one user on X commented on the initial post, \u201cIf you are low income you do not own a home. Especially in the most expensive housing market ever where 80% of income earners don\u2019t qualify for the average home prices. To say this administration is out of touch doesn\u2019t express how absurd this is.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">If you are low income you do not own a home<br \/> Especially in the most expensive housing market ever where 80% of income earners don\u2019t qualify for the average home prices<\/p>\n<p>To say this administration is out of touch doesn\u2019t express how absurd this is.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Matt (@mattykinsX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mattykinsX\/status\/1782564124188160099?\">April 23, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Exactly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLow income\u201d for a family has been defined, on a<a href=\"https:\/\/usafacts.org\/articles\/what-does-living-at-the-poverty-line-look-like\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> national level<\/a>, as making $30,000 or less per year.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, the average cost for a new home was $417,700, which most families making $30,000 would not be able to afford at all.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/02\/21\/how-wall-street-bought-single-family-homes-and-put-them-up-for-rent.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNBC<\/a> published a piece in February discussing this very reality.<\/p>\n<p>The network reported that housing inflation in the most desirable markets \u2014 Tampa, Florida, Phoenix, Arizona, and Atlanta, Georgia \u2014 rose by 44 percent, 43 percent, and 35 percent, respectively, between January 2020 and 2023.<\/p>\n<p>And the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-inflation-numbers-come-higher-expected-prices-continue-climb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">national average<\/a> rose a good 24 percent in the same time period.<\/p>\n<p>This reality, moreover, was caused by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidens-war-everyday-americans-continues-inflation-90-feds-goal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">problem<\/a> created by the very thing Biden has promoted.<\/p>\n<p>That is, extreme <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-inflation-numbers-come-hotter-expected-cnn-somberly-admits-headed-wrong-direction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">government spending<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Low and middle income families have been struggling because Biden and his administration have been spending <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-biden-uses-last-months-jobs-report-justify-government-spending\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">absurd amounts of money<\/a> the government didn\u2019t have, which entailed printing more money, which then meant that the value of individual\u2019s money kept decreasing as prices kept rising.<\/p>\n<p>Simply put, the United States cannot afford to keep wasting money on these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-admin-doles-600-million-activist-groups-universities-environmental-justice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">asinine environmental projects<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They have not helped the people Biden was purporting to help with these programs.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, they have hurt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidenomics-action-us-household-incomes-tumble-third-straight-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">low-income families<\/a> more than ever.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-throws-hard-hat-photo-op-blue-collar-workers-problem-becomes-immediately-clear\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden<\/a> never cared about low-income families, or ordinary American families in general.<\/p>\n<p>And, despite his statements to the contrary, it seems that he has done everything in his power to let people know that.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>In just a few months, the world is going to change forever.
