Kennedy assassin\">John F. Kennedy\u2019s assassin<\/a>, Lee Harvey Oswald, was fabricated, former <em>National Enquirer<\/em> Publisher David Pecker revealed on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Taking the stand during former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Donald Trump's\">Donald Trump\u2019s<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trumps-criminal-hush-money-trial-set-for-march-25\/\" title=\"Trump's hush money trial scheduled for March 25\">hush money trial<\/a> in New York, Pecker was pressed on negative stories the outlet wrote on the former president\u2019s rivals during the 2016 Republican primary. And that\u2019s how that story was prepared \u2014 created, I would say,\u201d Pecker said, describing the process by which a picture appearing to show the two together was created.<\/p>\n<p>He went further, alleging that the effort was essentially the doing of the Trump campaign through Trump\u2019s former attorney, Michael Cohen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter the Republican debates, and based on the success that some of the other candidates had, I would receive a call from Michael Cohen and he would direct me and direct Dylan Howard which candidate and which direction we should go,\u201d Pecker said.<\/p>\n<p>Trump touted the story of Cruz\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/iranian-dissidents-claim-biden-state-dept-hire-is-pro-regime-advocate\/\" title=\"Iranian Dissidents Claim Biden State Dept Hire is Pro-Regime Advocate\">father allegedly<\/a> being seen next to Oswald, though it was quickly debunked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, his father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald\u2019s being, you know, shot. \u2026 Nobody even brings it up,\u201d he told Fox News in May 2016. \u201cI mean, they don\u2019t even talk about that.
