The\u2062 posthumous album &#8220;Songwriter&#8221; by country \u2062music legend Johnny\u2064 Cash will showcase unreleased tracks from the early 1990s, with\u200b the standout song \u2064&#8221;Well\u200c Alright.&#8221; Co-produced with acclaimed \u2063artists, the album\u200c offers a blend of nostalgia and innovation, honoring Cash&#8217;s enduring musical heritage and\u2063 captivating his audience.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>    <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/%20\"><span>Johnathan Jones<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   April 23, 2024 at 12:36pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>While country music icon Johnny Cash left this world more than 20 years ago just months after the death of his beloved wife June Carter Cash, the singer and songwriter has more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/snoop-dogg-creates-doggyland-kids-songs-nursery-rhymes-youtube-channel\/\" title=\"Snoop Dogg Creates \u2018Doggyland \u2014 Kids Songs &#038; Nursery Rhymes\u2019 YouTube Channel\">music coming<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tracks the legend recorded in the early 1990s while he was between contracts will be part of a new album to be released this summer.<\/p>\n<p>But one of the songs is available to listen to now after it was uploaded to <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/zumW9D47Ync?si=mSk4Kryj15IlEdEf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a> by Cash\u2019s estate at midnight on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell Alright\u201d is a two-minute track the singer recorded during sessions at LSI Studios in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fbi-awkward-position-federal-judges-order-nashville-trans-shooting-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nashville, Tennessee,<\/a> in 1993, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-country\/johnny-cash-album-songwriter-well-alright-1235008895\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rolling Stone<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The upbeat tune tells a story about finding love at a laundromat, and it does so in a way only Cash could have done it:<\/p>\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Johnny Cash - Well Alright (Official Visualizer)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zumW9D47Ync?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The song and 10 others will be released June 28 on the posthumous album \u201cSongwriter,\u201d Cash\u2019s estate said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCo-produced by John Carter Cash and David Ferguson, the album features new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lara-trump-releases-single-anything-is-possible\/\" title=\"Lara Trump debuts new single 'Anything Is Possible.\">musical arrangements<\/a> with Marty Stuart, Dave Roe, Pete Abbott, and others, plus special guests Dan Auerbach and Vince Gill,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>Gill is known for his catalog of country music hits, while Auerbach makes up one-half of the popular rock duo the Black Keys.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Are you a fan of Johnny Cash?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In a statement to Rolling Stone, John Carter Cash explained that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rolling-stone-co-founder-booted-rock-roll-hof-comments-black-female-musicians\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">musicians<\/a> he enlisted to complete his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/infant-found-alive-in-rubble-of-egyptian-building\/\" title=\"Infant Found Alive In Rubble Of Egyptian Building\">late father\u2019<\/a>s unreleased songs didn\u2019t improvise much but played along in the spirit of what the country legend had already laid down on the tapes.<\/p>\n<p>He implied there wasn\u2019t a great deal of improvisation but a desire to speak for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/johnny-cashs-sister-reveals-always-wore-black\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cash<\/a> through the roadmap he left behind.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe musicians that came in were just tracking with dad, you know, recording with dad, just as, in the case of Marty and Dave, they had many times before, so they knew his energies, his movements, and they let him be the guide,\u201d the icon\u2019s son said.<\/p>\n<p>He concluded, \u201cIt was just playing with Johnny once again, and that\u2019s what it was.
