Over 100 students, including Hirsi, were arrested \u2062amid \u2064accusations of antisemitism, leading Hirsi to criticize the university&#8217;s treatment of anti-Israel demonstrators as\u200b hypocritical. Hirsi spoke on MSNBC regarding efforts to have \u200dher and others arrested for supporting Gaza.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_78\">\n<p>Isra Hirsi, the daughter of Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/ilhan-omar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Ilhan Omar<\/a> (D-MN), said she and other pro-Palestinian protesters were sprayed with \u201cchemical weapons\u201d while protesting the Israel-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/hamas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Hamas<\/a> war on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/columbia-university\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Columbia University<\/a>\u2019s campus last week. <\/p>\n<p>Hirsi and more than 100 other students were arrested last week for their participation in the protests, with accusations that some protesters were pushing antisemitic rhetoric. However, Hirsi took to MSNBC on Monday to claim the university\u2019s treatment of her and other anti-Israel protesters was hypocritical. <\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIt\u2019s 100% targeted.\u201d Daughter of Rep. And they\u2019re not seen as having unsanctioned protests or really receiving the kind of disciplinary warnings that many of our fellow organizers receive just for being seen at these protests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hirsi went on to allege that she and other pro-Palestinian protesters were \u201csprayed with the chemical weapons,\u201d likely alluding to an accusation made against another student who was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/french-national-assembly-approves-twice-blocked-vax-pass-law-despite-controversy\/\" title=\"French National Assembly Approves Twice-Blocked Vax Pass Law Despite Controversy\">ultimately suspended<\/a> by Columbia University.<\/p>\n<p>But according to a lawsuit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/medical-student-claims-school-expelled-him-for-unprofessional-pro-life-views\/\" title=\"Medical Student Claims School Expelled Him For \u2018Unprofessional\u2019 Pro-Life Views\">student filed<\/a> against Columbia, he hadn\u2019t dispersed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-releases-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-and-it-is-historic\/\" title=\"White House Releases List of President Trump\u2019s Accomplishments \u2013  And It Is Historic!\">chemical weapon<\/a> but rather a gag gift known as \u201cLiquid Ass\u201d during a pro-Palestinian rally. The lawsuit claims the action was a \u201charmless expression of speech\u201d and asserted that the university \u201crushed to silence Plaintiff and brand him as a criminal\u201d through \u201cbiased misconduct proceedings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the university authorized New York Police Department officers to break up the protests and arrest students.
