It encourages them to love themselves, and each other, and build positive relationships with law enforcement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The department called out the <em>Philadelphia Inquirer\u2019s<\/em> reporters by name and accused the outlet of being a \u201cracist, sexist, anti-community, and libelous organization that fails to investigate or publish the truth of any matter regarding this Office.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe constant bashing of the Philadelphia Sheriff\u2019s Office and the character of Sheriff Rochelle Bilal since the day Sheriff Rochelle Bilal took Office must stop,\u201d the department said.<\/p>\n<p>The report comes after the department has also been accused of losing at least <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/philadelphia-sheriff-refutes-report-claiming-office-left-185-guns-unaccounted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>200 weapons<\/a>, including 185 firearms. Last year, the department responded that it was able to account for the missing firearms, stating that some of them had been traded or destroyed, but could not provide documentation on when some of the weapons were disposed of.<\/p>\n<p>The acting city controller at the time, Charles Edacheril, determined there was insufficient evidence to determine what had happened to the weapons, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The department has also been accused of touting more than 30 <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/fake-news-philadelphia-sheriff-website-ai-headlines-7bace99ffe0f11d8e8b17862c7b55e4e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>AI-generated news articles<\/a> earlier this year.
