The identity of the associate\u2062 remains undisclosed in the document, referenced as &#8220;Per. 16&#8221; in the FBI filing. Multiple attempts, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pelosi-says-impeachment-and-25th-amendment-resolutions-will-be-brought-to-the-house-floor-starting-monday\/\" title=\"Pelosi Says Impeachment and 25th Amendment Resolutions Will Be Brought to the House Floor Starting Monday\">including calls<\/a> and meetings, were made to urge Trump \u200dto <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doj-wants-team-trump-held-in-contempt-over-mar-a-lago-docs\/\" title=\"DOJ Wants Team Trump Held in Contempt Over Mar-a-Lago Docs\">return classified documents<\/a> before\u200c a search of his Mar-a-Lago property. The associate emphasized the government&#8217;s ownership of the documents and the need to return them. Additional revelations were highlighted \u2063in the document, urging Trump to return all documents during a conference call.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>An associate of former President Donald Trump warned him to take the request to return documents to the National Archives seriously, according to released FBI filings on Monday regarding Trump\u2019s case. \u201cDon\u2019t give them a noble reason to indict you, because they will,\u201d the associate warned Trump, according to the filing. <\/p>\n<p>The identity of the associate who made these claims was redacted in the documents. He\/she is only identified as \u201cPer. 16\u201d throughout the FBI filing, <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.flsd.648653\/gov.uscourts.flsd.648653.470.4.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cExhibit D.\u201d<\/a> <\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>Image of FBI filing \u201cExhibit D\u201d regarding the case of former President Donald Trump\u2019s classified documents<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The associate claimed Trump was advised to return the classified documents he had at his residence approximately a year before FBI agents searched his Mar-a-Lago property in Florida, according to \u201cExhibit D.\u201d They listed multiple incidents, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-nations-second-largest-teachers-union-influenced-cdc-on-school-reopening-guidelines-delayed-return-to-classrooms\/\" title=\"Report: Nation\u2019s Second Largest Teachers Union Influenced CDC On School Reopening Guidelines, Delayed Return To Classrooms\">including phone calls<\/a>, conference calls, and in-person meetings in which they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/04\/23\/trump-classified-documents-fbi-plasmic-echo-investigation?utm_medium=social&#038;utm_campaign=editorial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">encouraged Trump to return the documents<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are issues with the boxes,\u201d the unnamed associate claimed they said in an apparent conversation with one of Trump\u2019s children. \u201cThey belong to the government, talk to your dad about giving them back. It\u2019s not worth the aggravation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There were several other important revelations from \u201cExhibit D.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>Image of page 7 of FBI filing \u201cExhibit D\u201d regarding the case of former President Donald Trump\u2019s classified documents<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On page seven of the report, the associate claimed they also made another appeal \u201cin late October\/early November\u201d while on a conference call with the former president to return all documents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhatever you have, give it all back,\u201d the associate allegedly implored Trump. <\/p>\n<p>Trump, who was identified as FPOTUS in the document, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/brad-raffensperger-subpoenaed-to-testify-in-hearing-on-georgia-election-case-removal-to-federal-court\/\" title=\"Brad Raffensperger summoned to testify in Georgia election case's transfer to federal court.\">allegedly inquired<\/a> how it was known that he had any documents, according to \u201cExhibit D.\u201d The associate informed the former president that the information was documented in writing. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe response was essentially, \u2018we\u2019ll check and think about it,\u2019\u201d the associate claimed.<\/p>\n<p>During another meeting at Mar-a-Lago, the associate again claimed he encouraged Trump to return all requested documents. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhatever you have, give everything back,\u201d the associate claimed. \u201cLet them come here and get everything. Don\u2019t give them a noble reason to indict you, because they will.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The associate claimed to have left Trump\u2019s meeting with the feeling that he was going to \u201creturn the records to NARA.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>Image of FBI filing \u201cExhibit D\u201d regarding the case of former President Donald Trump\u2019s classified documents<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The associate also noted in the interview that, according to the filing, they were initially unaware that the boxes contained important or classified documents, thinking they only contained personal stuff such as clothing or \u201cswag.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWas not aware during the 2021 meeting with FPOTUS that the boxes contained classified records, but it did not make any difference because they all need to go back,\u201d the associate claimed in the report.
