I\u2019m looking for him to get hit by the pitch! You got anything else to say, you\u2019re gone! OK?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Seven seconds later, Boone was ejected from the game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAaron, you\u2019re done!\u201d Wendelstedt shouted.<\/p>\n<p>Boone rushed out of the dugout and said he never said anything. He pointed to the stands and repeated that he didn\u2019t say anything. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was above our dugout!\u201d Boone exclaimed.\u201d I didn\u2019t say anything! I did not say anything!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t care who said it, you\u2019re gone,\u201d Wendelstedt shouted in return.<\/p>\n<p>The offending remark appeared to come from the stands.\u00a0There was evidence that corroborated Boone\u2019s claim.<\/p>\n<p>The YES network caught the entire exchange on video and identified a fan it believed heckled the umpire, which resulted in Boone\u2019s ejection. <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the video shows Boone not saying one word from the moment Wendelstedt initially warned him to the time he ejected him. He stood quietly atop his team\u2019s dugout steps, chewing gum. Boone looked at his hand a split second before his ejection. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s embarrassing,\u201d <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/aaron-boone-yankees-ejected-13e49640d3e481f4ba4256c6a4ea49d9\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Boone told reporters after the game<\/a>. \u201cI couldn\u2019t believe it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wendelstedt later explained why he ejected Boone, the <em>Associated Press <\/em>reported. That\u2019s what the fans pay to see. The record for fastest ejection belongs to Baltimore manager Earl Weaver on Aug. 15, 1975.
