Experts Weigh In\">falsifying business records<\/a>. \u201cThis is done as election interference. Everybody knows it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m here instead of being able to be in Pennsylvania and Georgia and lots of other places campaigning, and it\u2019s very unfair. Fortunately, the poll numbers are very good. They\u2019ve been going up because people understand what\u2019s going on,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Trump said Biden is behind the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/legal-expert-says-alvin-braggs-first-choice-witness-trump-trial-telling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">weaponization<\/a> of the legal system against him.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\ud83d\udea8TRUMP: \u201cThese are all Biden trials. These are done as election interference, everyone knows it\u2014This is a witch hunt.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/O8ngZ3q3Jt\">pic.twitter.com\/O8ngZ3q3Jt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bennyjohnson\/status\/1782402509853561127?\">April 22, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThis is a witch hunt, and it\u2019s a shame, and it comes out of Washington,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s in coordination with Washington \u2014 everything \u2014 including the DA\u2019s office is in coordination with Washington,\u201d Trump said. \u201cI just want people to understand that this is done for the purposes of hurting the opponent of the worst president in the history of our country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a very, very sad day in America, I can tell you that,\u201d Trump added.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Is Trump right about his trials?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Trump said the charge against him in his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-forced-cancel-rally-devastated-coming-sorry-god\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">current trial<\/a> is ludicrous.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Corrupt Soros Funded District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, who has totally lost control of Violent Crime in New York, says that the payment of money to a lawyer, for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/blms-pac-has-blown-through-nearly-all-its-cash-reserves-in-the-first-quarter-of-2022\/\" title=\"BLM\u2019s PAC Has Blown Through Nearly All Its Cash Reserves in the First Quarter of 2022\">legal services rendered<\/a>, should not be referred to in a Ledger as LEGAL EXPENSE. What other term would be more appropriate???\u201d Trump posted on <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/112312890922422470\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Truth Social<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBelieve it or not, this is the pretext under which I was Indicted, and that Legal Scholars and Experts CANNOT BELIEVE. It is also the perfect Crooked Joe Biden NARRATIVE \u2014 To be STUCK in a courtroom, and not be allowed to campaign for President of the United States!\u201d Trump posted.<\/p>\n<p>Legal expert Jonathan Turley said the trial to date has him \u201cin utter disbelief,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/live-news\/april-22-trump-hush-money-trial-opening-statements\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is clear, is in this case, Trump is right. I mean, this is an embarrassment. I mean, the fact that we are actually talking about this case being presented in a New York courtroom, leaves me in utter disbelief. I mean, the the arguments today did in fact capture all the problems here,\u201d the Fox News contributor said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou had this misdemeanor under state law, that had run out, this is going back to relate it to the 2016 election. And they zapped it back into life by alleging that there was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-president-trump-gives-pardons-to-73-individuals-and-commutes-another-70-sentences-steve-bannon-is-included\/\" title=\"BREAKING: President Trump Gives Pardons to 73 Individuals and Commutes Another 70 Sentences \u2013 Steve Bannon Is Included\">campaign finance violation<\/a> under the federal laws that doesn\u2019t exist,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Turley said the trial shows a contrast between what the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/black-americans-turning-biden-home-state-donald-trump-want\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">presidential candidates<\/a> are allowed to do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis case should not have been brought, and if it were brought, there was no reason to have this right before the election in my view. But this is becoming the split screen election,\u201d Turley said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEarlier it was pretty damaging to see the split screen between Trump in different courtrooms. This is even more effective when the other side of the screen shows Biden campaigning in key states like Pennsylvania, while he\u2019s held in this courtroom,\u201d Turley said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt really brings home something that bothers a lot of Americans, including people don\u2019t particularly like Trump, that this is the weaponization of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-kicks-off-so-called-progressive-package-with-decades-old-policies\/\" title=\"Joe Biden kicks off so-called progressive package with decades-old policies\">criminal legal system<\/a>.
