Wilson\u200d is set to join Denver after the departure of Broncos quarterback \u200cRussell Wilson to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The\u200d trade\u2062 includes a \u2062late-round pick swap, \u2062and the \u200bJets will pay part of Wilson&#8217;s salary. The team <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorkjets.com\/news\/jets-sign-tyrod-taylor-03-14-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">signed Taylor<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson was one part of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/atlanta-falcons-trade-quarterback-matt-ryan-to-indianapolis-colts%ef%bf%bc\/\" title=\"Atlanta Falcons Trade Quarterback Matt Ryan to Indianapolis Colts\ufffc\">quarterback carousel<\/a> that tried to steer the Jets to the postseason this past season after Rodgers went down just four snaps into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jets-head-coach-plans-ex-mvp-aaron-rodgers-season-ending-achilles-injury\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his tenure in New York<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-tragedy-byu-lineman-killed-in-freak-construction-accident\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BYU<\/a> alum began <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/stats\/_\/id\/4361259\/zach-wilson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his career<\/a> with the Jets as the starter, but last season he lost the job to Rodgers \u2014 a veteran former league MVP with a Super Bowl ring from his time in Green Bay.<\/p>\n<p>Rodgers ruptured his Achilles on the first drive of his Jets career.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson started 11 games in 2023 but was inconsistent.
