The op-ed was written by fellow Harvard alumnus Daniel Rosen, who, despite describing himself as a \u201clifelong Democrat,\u201d endorsed Romney to take the reins at Harvard. Romney is also a Harvard graduate.<\/p>\n<p>Romney announced last fall that he will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/09\/13\/politics\/mitt-romney-not-running-reelection\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>not run<\/a> for reelection at the end of this year, paving the way for a \u201cnew generation of leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI make this suggestion in the sincere and robust hope that he is someone who can navigate the university through painful but necessary reform and drive back the antisemitism that is tarnishing the institution\u2019s credibility,\u201d Rosen wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman has shared Rosen\u2019s sentiment as a staunchly pro-Israel member of Congress, though his stance has drawn the ire <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/stephensemler\/status\/1737607882848539124\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>of some<\/a>, largely due to Israel\u2019s military campaign in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\"><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The potential move wouldn\u2019t be a first for a U.S. senator.
