During his appearance, he quoted Constitutional law professor Paul Freund.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo judge should or will be moved by the temperature of the day,\u201d Breyer said, \u201cbut every judge will be aware of the climate of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>According to Breyer, most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/judges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>judges<\/a> consider how the world will respond to their rulings, but are not swayed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDoes that lead to your deciding X rather than not X? Well I can never say never, but rarely,\u201d Breyer said.<\/p>\n<p>Since Breyer retired, the court has been the target of many protests due to its rulings, which have included the overturning of <em>Roe v.
