Carnevale aims to inspire new Republican candidates to run in the state, leveraging\u200b public \u200dsentiment to make inroads in predominantly Democratic territory.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>In a state that hasn\u2019t elected a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/republican\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Republican<\/a> House representative since 1993 and only two Republican <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/senate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>senators<\/a> since 1967, Massachusetts GOP Chairwoman Amy Carnevale is optimistic for her party amid recent opinion polls.<\/p>\n<p>Carnevale cited a poll in a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statehousenews.com\/news\/politics\/massgop-urging-new-recruits-to-challenge-for-legislature\/article_fda9c8a4-fd07-11ee-8358-d3b53b2f8bfd.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>recruitment<\/a> email <a href=\"https:\/\/commonwealthbeacon.org\/by-the-numbers\/mass-residents-say-immigration-migrants-top-issue-facing-state\/#:~:text=In%20a%20new%20CommonWealth%20Beacon,and%20welfare%20(12%20percent).\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>that<\/a> indicated 67% of Bay Staters think the migrant situation is a crisis or major problem in an effort to inspire new Republican candidates to run in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/massachusetts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Massachusetts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the Democrats engage in their usual theatrics and political maneuvers, it\u2019s the Republicans who are stepping up with pragmatic, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sinema-joins-cornyn-calling-on-biden-to-use-full-authorities-to-address-border-crisis\/\" title=\"Sinema Joins Cornyn Calling On Biden To Use \u2018Full Authorities\u2019 To Address Border Crisis\">common-sense solutions<\/a> to tackle the migrant crisis head-on,\u201d Carnevale wrote. \u201cAnd guess what? These solutions are resonating powerfully with the silent majority. Just look at Senator Peter Durant, who clinched a senate seat by championing this very cause.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carnevale also blasted the Democratic Party\u2019s stance on the migrant crisis in the email, saying Democrats \u201cseem to be busy pandering to their progressive, out-of-touch base, while conveniently pointing fingers at the federal government.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Democratic supermajority has become complacent, resting on the assumption that their reelections are guaranteed,\u201d Carnevale continued. \u201cBut recent polls are painting a different picture altogether. It\u2019s evident that they\u2019ve pushed the boundaries too far. There\u2019s never been a more opportune moment to throw your hat in the ring as a Republican candidate in Massachusetts, from local positions all the way up the ballot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Massachusetts House recently unveiled its fiscal 2025 budget, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcboston.com\/news\/local\/mass-house-budget-includes-500-million-for-migrant-shelter-costs\/3334474\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>includes <\/a>$500 million in funds for immigrant housing. MassGOP spokesman Logan Trupiano said that money could be going elsewhere and that migrant crisis spending is a \u201crunaway train.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a spending issue,\u201d Trupiano told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em>. \u201cWe really can\u2019t afford this, and there is no end in sight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Massachusetts] residents are losing out because of this migrant crisis, and it\u2019s only going to get worse because the Biden administration has no interest in taking any initiative on the border,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Massachusetts House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Aaron Michlewitz, a Democrat, recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcboston.com\/news\/local\/mass-house-budget-includes-500-million-for-migrant-shelter-costs\/3334474\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>said <\/a>that shelter funding is a \u201cfluid discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou go back nine months ago and it was a different discussion than it is today,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s hard to say exactly where it\u2019s going to be in six to nine months,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe think the number we\u2019re putting on the table for discussion within the House gets us far enough along that we can see where we are going forward down the road.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Republicans in Massachusetts are optimistic about their chances, the state is deep blue.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Democratic domination of the state extends to the Massachusetts House and Senate, where the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/impossible-gop-picked-up-seats-in-house-picked-up-state-legislatures-picked-up-governorship-held-the-senate-but-sniffy-joe-won-not-a-chance\/\" title=\"IMPOSSIBLE: GOP Picked Up Seats in House, Picked Up State Legislatures, Picked Up Governorship, Held the Senate -- But Sniffy Joe Won?...
