There are no reported crashes explicitly linked to this problem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn unapproved change introduced lubricant (soap) to aid in the component assembly of the pad onto the accelerator pedal. Residual lubricant reduced the retention of the pad to the pedal,\u201d the NHTSA explained in its <a href=\"https:\/\/static.nhtsa.gov\/odi\/rcl\/2024\/RCLRPT-24V276-7026.PDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"notice\">notice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A Cybertruck customer brought the issue to Tesla\u2019s attention at the end of March, which was followed by a second customer\u2019s claim.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This comes after the company has experienced two consecutive recalls since last year, which both led to the recall of 2 million of its electric vehicles.
