The intense questioning came after Senate \u200dDemocrats blocked \u200dHouse \u2062impeachment articles against \u2063Mayorkas. Do you have any remorse for your complicity in the crimes \u2014 you have \u2014 your open border policies aided and abetted the murder of Americans, the rape of Americans,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cPeople have lost their loved ones because of this catastrophe, this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/this-is-all-political-desantis-slams-biden-for-allegedly-allowing-illegal-aliens-into-u-s-without-covid-test-while-considering-domestic-travel-restrictions\/\" title=\"\u2018This Is All Political\u2019: DeSantis Slams Biden For Allegedly Allowing Illegal Aliens Into U.S. Without COVID Test While Considering Domestic Travel Restrictions\">open border policy<\/a>. Do you have any regrets?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas responded by saying that first, \u201call of our hearts break for the victims of these heinous crimes.\u201d He went on to say that only the people who actually carried out the criminal acts should be held accountable for them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey wouldn\u2019t have been in this country had you not allowed them in,\u201d Johnson shot back, asking then whether Mayorkas had ever spoken to the families affected by the crimes committed by illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas repeated, \u201cAll of our hearts break for the loved ones of those who have been lost at the hands of criminal conduct.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo your heart is broken.
