Kevin Boyle remains unaccounted for on Wednesday, according to a statement from his family circulating on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Boyle\u2019s brother, U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle \u2013 who represents Pennsylvania\u2019s second congressional district \u2013 said in a statement shared by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/glenn-greenwald-explains-how-multiple-media-outlets-can-independently-confirm-false-information\/\" title=\"Glenn Greenwald Explains How Multiple Media Outlets Can \u2018Independently Confirm\u2019 False Information\">multiple media outlets<\/a> on X that Kevin lives with \u201ca serious mental health condition\u201d that became symptomatic several months ago after two years of recovery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKevin\u2019s mental illness has been a nightmare for us,\u201d Brendan Boyle said. \u201cLike any family who has a beloved member with a serious health issue, we are doing the best we can to help him get better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Police issued an arrest warrant on Tuesday for Kevin Boyle after he allegedly violated a protection from abuse order against his wife. It was first issued in 2021 after Kevin experienced a psychotic episode.<\/p>\n<p>Brendan Boyle said that after that incident, his brother received medical treatment and began taking medication to manage his illness, noting that he won re-election \u201coverwhelmingly\u201d in 2022 and was tapped to lead a legislative committee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe genuinely believed his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/9-year-old-girl-pepper-sprayed-during-interaction-with-rochester-police\/\" title=\"9-Year-Old Girl Pepper Sprayed During Interaction With Rochester Police\">mental health issue<\/a> was in the past,\u201d Brendan Boyle said.<\/p>\n<p>The development follows weeks of escalating public outbursts from the state lawmaker, whose deteriorating mental state forced Democratic leadership to rescind his committee chairmanship. The party also threw support behind his primary challenger, Sean Dougherty.<\/p>\n<p>Tensions erupted on the House floor Wednesday as news of Kevin Boyle\u2019s arrest warrant circulated. Republican legislators blasted Democrats for allowing the lawmaker to \u201cvote by designation\u201d \u2013 based on a form he signed weeks prior \u2013 despite his apparent fugitive status.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRemote voting was not created to allow members with arrest warrants to continue to solidify their party\u2019s razor-thin majority,\u201d said Rep.
