We hope to be a part of the community again soon.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The group had previously defended setting up in the shuttered restaurant, saying they had a right to occupy the venue because it was not a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/univ-of-mich-locks-out-students-for-not-taking-required-covid-19-tests\/\" title=\"Univ. of Mich. locks out students for not taking required COVID-19 tests\">residential building<\/a> and was therefore not included under 2012 legislation which protected private residences from squatters in the U.K., per <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/uk\/home-news\/gordon-ramsay-squat-camden-inside-b2528900.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Independent<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each of the squatters referred to themselves as \u201cGordon\u201d to protect their identities.
