Kevin Boyle, according to multiple reports, with the Democratic lawmaker having been in trouble with the law previously.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, an arrest warrant was issued for Boyle for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/philadelphia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Philadelphia\">Philadelphia<\/a> Police spokesperson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/arrest-warrant-issued-for-pa-state-rep-kevin-boyle-police-say\/3833536\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>told<\/a> NBC 10 Philadelphia News without giving specifics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can confirm an arrest warrant has been issued for violating a PFA. I hope he gets the help he needs,\u201d Democratic House Majority Leader Matt Bradford <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/kevin-boyle-state-rep-arrest-warrant-pennsylvania-philadelphia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"said\">said<\/a> in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest warrant isn\u2019t the first time Boyle has faced trouble with the law. In 2021, he was arrested and charged with harassment and violation of a protection from abuse order his wife had filed. The Pennsylvania Democrat\u2019s attorney, R. Emmett Madden, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/arrest-warrant-issued-for-pa-state-rep-kevin-boyle-police-say\/3833536\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"told\">said<\/a> at the time that he was cooperating with law enforcement and would receive a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/attorney-lin-wood-under-investigation-over-whether-he-voted-illegally-in-2020-election-report\/\" title=\"Attorney Lin Wood Under Investigation Over Whether He Voted Illegally In 2020 Election: Report\">mental health evaluation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is important to note that Kevin Boyle is not accused of any act of violence. By agreement with the Philadelphia District Attorney\u2019s Office, Kevin is scheduled for a mental health evaluation,\u201d Madden said. \u201cHe intends to follow through with all court, mental health and medical recommendations, including treatment. Malt House in Rockledge, Pennsylvania, and refusing to leave. During the incident, he threatened to use his position to close the bar.
