In the first quarter of 2024, Trump, alongside the Republican National Committee, raised $65.6 million, finishing with $93.1 \u2062million in cash reserves. The Republican \u2064donors&#8217; support signifies a shift towards\u2062 backing Trump as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-to-headline-n-y-gop-event-on-august-5\/\" title=\"President Trump to headline N.Y. GOP event on August 5\">presumptive nominee<\/a> for the upcoming\u2062 election.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s fundraising efforts picked up steam in the first three months of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2024-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>2024<\/a> as GOP megadonors assisted his third bid for the White House. <\/p>\n<p>Trump and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/rnc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Republican National Committee<\/a> had already announced they raised $65.6 million in March and ended the month with $93.1 million cash on hand.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/election-2024\/?utm_source=homepage&#038;utm_medium=banner&#038;utm_campaign=iowa_caucus&#038;utm_id=election2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ELECTION 2024: FOLLOW LATEST COVERAGE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New filings with the Federal Election Commission showed Trump 47 Committee, a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/more-electioneering-dirty-facebook-suspends-gop-ad-campaign-days-before-january-georgia-runoff-election\/\" title=\"More Electioneering: Dirty Facebook Suspends GOP Ad Campaign Days Before January Georgia Runoff Election\">joint fundraising committee<\/a> with the RNC, raised $23.6 million, with more than a dozen donors giving at least $800,000. <\/p>\n<p>It is the latest sign that Republican donors are coalescing around Trump after he vanquished his GOP primary rivals and became the presumptive nominee last month.<\/p>\n<p>Among those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fundraiser-for-alabamas-katie-britt-linked-to-program-that-sells-u-s-citizenship-to-rich-foreign-nationals\/\" title=\"Fundraiser for Alabama's Katie Britt Linked to Program that Sells U.S. Citizenship to Rich Foreign Nationals\">big-dollar donors<\/a> who maxed out contributions include former Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler, who recently cohosted a fundraiser for Trump in Atlanta; hedge fund billionaire Robert Mercer; billionaire John Paulson; and Robert Bigelow, a Las Vegas real estate mogul.<\/p>\n<p>Paulson recently hosted a fundraiser for Trump in Florida that raised roughly $50.5 million, nearly double the $26 million Biden raised during a New York City fundraiser with former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.<\/p>\n<p>Donors were only allowed to give $6,600 to Trump via the joint fundraising committee, but the Trump 47 Committee transferred $10.3 million to the RNC. <\/p>\n<p>Trump 47 Committee is also able to send funds to Save America, a leadership PAC that has helped pay the former president\u2019s legal fees, including spending more than $50 million last year. But fillings did not show any transfers in the first months of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Right for America,\u00a0another Trump super PAC, raised $13 million in the first quarter. Top donors to the committee include billionaire Ike and Laura Perlmutter, who donated $10.1 million. <\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s Save America joint fundraising committee, the main fundraising vehicle for the former president, also raised a little over $65 million in the first three months of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Before the first quarter, the Trump campaign relied on small donors to boost its coffers as the presumptive GOP presidential nominee trails President Joe Biden\u2019s financial advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s main joint fundraising committee with the Democratic Party, the Biden Victory Fund, raised $121.3 million in the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Biden and the Democratic National Committee raised more than $90 million in March and finished the month with $192 million cash on hand, double Trump and the RNC\u2019s coffers.<\/p>\n<p>Trump and the RNC have until Saturday to file their reports, giving a more complete picture of their fundraising in 2024. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GOP megadonors are boosting Donald Trump&#8217;s 2024 White House bid.
