Recommendations\u2064 include targeting \u2064key Iranian\u200c facilities to deter future aggression.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Numerous foreign policy experts are urging Israel to deliver a \u201cdisproportionate\u201d military response to Iran\u2019s attacks over the weekend and are warning that time is winding down to deal with the Islamic Republic before it becomes a nuclear state.<\/p>\n<p>Part of what is driving the concern from foreign policy and military experts is that Iran has strengthened its relationship with Russia and may soon acquire more advanced military hardware from the Russians that will make it much harder for the U.S., Israel, and Arab allies in the region to counter Iranian threats.<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2024\/04\/15\/iran-israel-russia-drones-missiles\/\">reported<\/a> on Monday night that top Iranian officials recently attended a VIP tour of Russia\u2019s most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/plan-to-reduce-the-number-of-white-males-in-aviation-matt-walsh-reveals-troubling-internal-footage-of-faa-discussion-on-dei-agenda\/\" title=\"\u2018Plan To Reduce The Number Of White Males In Aviation\u2019: Matt Walsh Reveals Troubling Internal Footage Of FAA Discussion On DEI Agenda\">advanced military systems<\/a> and that they are reportedly seeking to acquire Russia\u2019s S-400 missile system, which some military experts claim can shoot down stealth fighter jets.<\/p>\n<p>If Iran were to acquire the S-400, and if it really can shoot down stealth planes, then options could be limited for the U.S. and Israel to deal with Iran\u2019s nuclear program if a situation presented itself where it needed to be destroyed. Iran has rapidly increased their production of enriched uranium \u2014 in violation of international law \u2014 to the point where they now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/iran-now-has-enough-weapons-grade-uranium-for-a-nuclear-weapon-with-a-breakout-time-of-1-week-report\">possess<\/a> enough nuclear material to build a nuclear weapon with a breakout time of one week.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Facts are stubborn things. The facility potentially could be deep enough that conventional weapons in the U.S. arsenal may not be able to reach it.<\/p>\n<p>Former Trump national security adviser John Bolton said on Sunday that Israel should not respond to Iran\u2019s unprecedented attack \u2014 which included a combined more than 300 missiles and drones \u2014 with a \u201cproportional\u201d response.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe way to reestablish deterrence is not proportional. That\u2019s academic talk,\u201d Bolton said. \u201cThe way you establish deterrence is by telling your adversary, if you ever try that again, the price you will pay will be so much higher than any gain you think you can get, you shouldn\u2019t even think about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bolton said that Israel should go after Iran\u2019s air defenses, military headquarters of the Iranian military and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and their oil infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1712932862202000&#038;usg=AOvVaw0plT8RRdMy9XUpIhocnjQS\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd, most importantly, I think Israel should be looking at this as an opportunity to destroy Iran\u2019s nuclear weapons program, which is the existential threat that Israel faces,\u201d he added. \u201cI don\u2019t know what they will do. I can\u2019t predict it. But I will tell you this. If Joe Biden, as some press reports have it, is urging the Israelis not to retaliate at all, he is an embarrassment to the United States. This is an American interest to make sure that Iran, which is the principal threat to international peace and security in the region, is, at a minimum, put in its place to spare Israel, to spare the Gulf Arabs, to spare us from the threat that they pose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark Dubowitz, CEO of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), a non-partisan institution focusing on national security and foreign policy; Brigadier General (Res.) Professor Jacob Nagel, senior fellow at FDD and a former top Israeli official, said on Monday that a \u201cdisproportionate\u201d response would be the only thing that Iran understands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Iran walks away from this moment without paying a severe price, Tehran may be emboldened to deploy its weapons again,\u201d they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fdd.org\/analysis\/2024\/04\/15\/why-israels-failure-to-strike-back-at-iran-could-lead-to-nuclear-war\/\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cAnd the next time, these drones and missiles may be armed with nuclear or chemical payloads.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIsrael must now adopt a doctrine of \u2018deterrence by punishment\u2019 where it inflicts disproportionate costs on its enemies and focus its response on a few priority targets,\u201d they continued. \u201cThe Israeli military could destroy the weapons deployed against them, including unnamed aerial vehicle development and production plants, as well as cruise missile and drone storage facilities inside Iran. Israel could also hit Iranian ports, oil and gas refineries, pipelines, and other infrastructure that finance the regime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dubowitz and Nagel said that the most important target for Israel should be Iran\u2019s nuclear weapons program.<\/p>\n<p>Israel \u201cmust now shift to neutralizing Iran\u2019s nuclear scientists and their ability to build an actual weapon,\u201d they wrote. \u201cAfter this weekend, the threat of a nuclear weapon being deployed from inside Iran toward Israel is a step closer to reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former British Army Commander Colonel Richard Kemp \u2014 who served a chairman of the British government\u2019s Cobra Intelligence Group, responsible for coordinating the work of the national intelligence agencies, including MI5 and MI6 \u2014 also argued to a \u201cdisproportionate\u201d response was not only warranted, but needed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think Israel should be looking at a proportionate response, I think Israel should be looking at a disproportionate response here,\u201d he said during a media interview on Monday. \u201cIsrael should deliver a very, very severe retaliatory attack or series of attacks against Iran. And the reason I say that, it sounds terrible, sounds like war mongering, it isn\u2019t intended to be that. But in this region in particular, only strength is understood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince Iran carried out this attack over the weekend, it\u2019s been ridiculed around the Arab world for being ineffective for not achieving anything,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd that shows the level of contempt that countries around here and players around here have witnessed.
