I mean <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/09\/27\/democrats-favorite-appeaser-hired-iranian-conspirators-for-obama-and-biden-positions\/\"><em>assets<\/em><\/a>  of the Islamic State who promised the Iranian government to help out in any way possible.<\/p>\n<p>Their worldview is a cancer that\u2019s metastasized within the Democratic Party. To these people, Israel will always be the villain. And if the Iranian regime\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/news\/your-military\/2019\/04\/04\/iran-killed-more-us-troops-in-iraq-than-previously-known-pentagon-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">murder<\/a> of more than 600 American servicemen couldn\u2019t cool that bromance, 1,300 dead Jews certainly aren\u2019t going to do the trick.<\/p>\n<p>To begin with, Jared Kushner\u2019s Middle East policy efforts were, by every measure, more successful than not only Obama\u2019s efforts but the decades of Brookings Institute-endorsed failures the region has endured. The Trump administration undercut Palestinian terror efforts, stifled Iranian ambitions, and created space for the Gulf States and Israel to enhance ties.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9e29cc9c49390d7bff6f3971d61286cd fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9e29cc9c49390d7bff6f3971d61286cd\"><\/div>\n<p>Biden immediately reversed those gains, reverting to Obama-era Iranian boosterism. We\u2019re now experiencing the consequences of pacifying Islamic ideologues. Obama might have sent the mullahs pallets of cash in the middle of the night, but the Biden administration openly subsidized the Revolutionary Guard with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/iran-on-6-billion-a-day-ransom-biden-tehran-hostage-35e43a1e\">$6 billion<\/a> ransom payment, at least <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/09\/12\/biden-has-a-secret-illegal-deal-with-iran-that-gives-mullahs-everything-they-want\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$25 billion<\/a> in sanction relief, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aa.com.tr\/en\/middle-east\/iraq-releases-10b-of-frozen-iranian-funds-for-purchasing-non-sanctioned-goods-official\/2936253#:~:text=TEHRAN%2C%20Iran,are%20exempted%20from%20US%20sanctions.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$10 billion<\/a> via a waiver, <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/09-13-23-Goldberg-Testimony.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">and so on<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s also remember that one of Biden\u2019s first foreign policy decisions was to overturn Trump-era policy by releasing millions to Gaza that would be sifted off by Hamas, releasing funding to Hamas-allied UNRWA, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/show\/in-foreign-policy-shift-biden-lifts-terrorist-designation-for-houthis-in-yemen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">removing<\/a> the Iranian-backed Houthis from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-this-average-american-is-voting-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"Why This Average American Is Voting for Donald Trump\">terror list<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But to truly comprehend how demented our foreign policy has become, consider this: Iran reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Jerusalem_Post\/status\/1779512742350635038\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">informed<\/a> Turkey in advance of its planned operation against Israel, and the U.S. told Iran through Ankara that the attack should be \u201cwithin certain limits.\u201d This is a longtime ally of the United States we\u2019re talking about \u2014 and a foe that\u2019s murdered and kidnapped Americans for decades.<\/p>\n<p>It should be mind-boggling that Biden likely knew Iran was moving forward with its attack but still gave his goofy and impotent \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us\/biden-says-his-message-iran-is-dont-2024-04-12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">don\u2019t<\/a>\u201d when asked about it by the press.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-e6dc1824b408e1279c9705334d676867 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-e6dc1824b408e1279c9705334d676867\"><\/div>\n<p>Indeed, the Biden administration\u2019s position seems to be that Israeli military and defense forces exist to allow Iran to have a hissy fit and save face. The Iranian attack is only \u201csymbolic\u201d because it failed. According to officials, the attack, indiscriminately aimed at civilian centers, was designed to cause \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.semafor.com\/article\/04\/14\/2024\/iran-sought-mass-casualties-in-israel-strike-us-official-say\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mass casualties<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Just because you shoot at someone and miss doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019re not trying to kill them. Yes, the Iranians were embarrassed. But they almost surely view this as a win. And they also crossed a red line by firing on Israel from their own territory. Yet Israel is apparently the only nation on Earth that is permitted to fully defend itself only if its enemies succeed.<\/p>\n<p>Then again, virtually every conflict against Israel unfurls the same way: Its enemies threaten or attack the country. Israel responds and heads for a victory. Only then does the world demand \u201crestraint.\u201d Finally, the antagonists demand Israel rewind history to a more convenient spot. (Modern Democrats demand that Israel show restraint <em>before<\/em> it even has a chance to respond. That\u2019s a new twist.)<\/p>\n<p>Those, for instance, who contend that Israel started the conflict when it hit a \u201cdiplomatic mission\u201d in Syria last week are engaged in restarting the historical clock when it suits them. There are no Iranian diplomatic missions in Syria. There are buildings where IRGC terror leaders coordinate attacks on civilians \u2014 against Arabs as well as Jews. Mohammad Reza Zahedi, the \u201cgeneral\u201d Israel killed last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/04\/14\/world-news\/iranian-general-whose-assassination-triggered-weekend-attack-on-israel-helped-plan-oct-7-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">helped plan<\/a> the barbarism of Oct 7.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that the United States atomized Qasem Soleimani at a neutral nation\u2019s airport. Though, of course, Obamaites <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/international\/478311-biden-slams-trump-on-solemaini-strike-he-flat-out-lied\/\">protested<\/a> that killing as well.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it is something of a clich\u00e9 to contend that Israel must be right 100 percent of the time while its enemies only need to be right once. It also happens to be true. The lo-fi Hamas attack last year was a devastating failure for the Jewish state and its leadership. Israel, a country the size of New Jersey with a dense population area, relies on deterrence and preemption.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats blamed their strawman, Benjamin Netanyahu, not Hamas or Iran, for trying to \u201cdrag\u201d the world into war. The New York Times\u2019 Tom Friedman, perhaps the wrongest person ever to tread on this planet, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jawillick\/status\/1779607035996201078\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">theorized<\/a> that the prime minister wanted \u201ca war to shore up his own crumbling political base.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Axois <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/04\/14\/us-israel-iran-attack-retaliation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a> that Netanyahu was reluctant to strike back while his cabinet wanted to move immediately. Anyone who\u2019s paid five minutes of attention to Israeli politics knows that Netanyahu is frustratingly cautious. The \u201cwar hawk\u201d perception of him is a myth, created by the left because of the prime minister\u2019s open opposition to Obama\u2019s mullah bootlicking.<\/p>\n<p>We have no idea what Israel will do. Maybe caution is the best policy. The notion that the Jewish state simply lashes out in revenge and doesn\u2019t rationally consider all its options is preposterous.
