Wade<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Hobbs appeared on ABC\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/theview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"The View\">The View<\/a><\/em>  on Friday to discuss her opinion on her state making abortion illegal even in the case of rape and incest. The only exception is for mothers whose lives are at an immediate risk. Notably, former President Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/2960970\/trump-arizona-supreme-court-too-far-abortion-ruling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"claimed the ban goes too far\">claimed the ban goes too far<\/a>, but Hobbs claimed Trump was simply feigning sympathy. Trump appointed three of the Supreme Court Justices who ultimately overturned the federal protection around the procedure with their <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization <\/em>decision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, look, I am pretty tired\u00a0of cleaning up Donald Trump\u2019s\u00a0messes in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/arizona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Arizona<\/a>. This is \u2014 this is really\u00a0nothing but political\u00a0opportunism coming from these\u00a0folks who wanted this.\u00a0This is what they wanted when\u00a0they worked to overturn Roe v.\u00a0Wade,\u201d Hobbs said. \u201cNow\u00a0that they see it as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/michigan-republican-tom-barrett-seeks-do-over-in-critical-house-race-with-one-edge-my-opponent-is-not-a-woman\/\" title=\"Michigan Republican Tom Barrett wants a second chance in a crucial House race, with one advantage: his opponent is not female\">political\u00a0albatross<\/a>, they\u2019re all of a\u00a0sudden trying to run away from\u00a0it.\u00a0They can\u2019t do that.\u00a0They own this.\u00a0The Dobbs decision paved the way\u00a0for the Arizona Supreme Court to\u00a0make this devastating ruling,\u00a0and they own it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Hobbs, even though she and Attorney General Kris Mayes have committed not to prosecute doctors for performing abortions, she could not guarantee that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/women\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>women<\/a> could safely undergo the procedure. Local prosecutors are still able to charge anyone they\u2019d like related to an abortion case.
