An OMG \u201cswiper\u201d interviewed Hizmo across several pseudo-dates that the swiper went on with the Fed economist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Over the course of the dates, Hizmo said he believes Trump is \u201ca crazy person\u201d that the Fed needs to keep in check when he \u201cmesses up.\u201d Hizmo also suggested that Fed chairman Jerome Powell hates the former president and wants to be remembered as someone who \u201cheld the line\u201d against Trump.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cTrump is just a crazy person,\u201d Hizmo told his date. \u201cIt\u2019s very clear. I mean, he\u2019s a dumb guy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Trump and Powell hated each other, according to Hizmo. On the other hand, Powell has a good relationship with President Joe Biden and his administration, he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hizmo stated that Powell is motivated by a desire to preserve his legacy \u201cas a savior.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201c[Powell] is doing it for the legacy. He wants to be remembered in history \u2026 as somebody who held the line against, like, Trump and helped the economy out of COVID,\u201d Hizmo said on hidden camera. \u201cThere\u2019s all kinds of stuff that comes to his desk that he says, \u2018No, because this is going to jeopardize the legacy of the Fed or my legacy as chair.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Trump nominated Powell to lead the Federal Reserve in 2017. Hizmo suggested that Powell used his authority as the chairman of the U.S. Central Bank to curb Trump\u2019s deregulatory agenda.
