Amos and Rebecca Miller.\"><em>Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture v. Amos and Rebecca Miller<\/em>.<\/a> However, the win could be short-lived, and this case could escalate all the way to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Supreme Court\">Supreme Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo we get to control our food and decide what goes into our body or does the government,\u201d asked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barneslawllp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Robert Barnes\">Robert Barnes<\/a>, Miller\u2019s attorney. \u201cThat question is a question that the Supreme Court, sooner or later, will likely need to answer.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>Organic Farmer receives a victory in court against the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has been at war with Miller\u2019s farm for eight years.\u00a0Earlier this year, it conducted a raid at his Bird-in-Hand-based farm.\u00a0In addition to a lawsuit, an injunction was placed against Miller, so he was unauthorized to sell his raw dairy products to the public. According to Barnes, Miller wasn\u2019t even allowed to give it to his own family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an extraordinary power grab,\u201d Barnes said.\u00a0\u201cThe state of Pennsylvania wants the judge to put into the law that you can\u2019t even distribute food, meaning you can\u2019t distribute it for charitable purposes. You can\u2019t distribute it to your family or friends. You can\u2019t distribute it to anybody without their permission.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of Miller\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/C38EZiEO_HT\/?igsh=bGJyd2pmOHMwOTJ6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"supporters\">supporters<\/a> came out and testified in support of his raw dairy products.\u00a0While the lawsuit alleges two foodborne illnesses as a result of his products, one in Michigan and one in New York, Miller\u2019s attorney said no illnesses have occurred from Miller\u2019s products.<\/p>\n<p>Barnes said he was pleased with the judge\u2019s ruling, as it \u201cfollowed the law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the supporters of Miller who came out, Barnes said there was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/january-6-committee-member-admits-star-witness-evidence-is-hearsay-no-corroborating-evidence\/\" title=\"January 6 Committee Member Admits Star Witness\u2019 Evidence Is Hearsay, No Corroborating Evidence\">surprise star witness<\/a>, someone who worked for more than a decade and a half in the U.S. Department of Agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe leading expert in the country testified for Amos Miller on Food Safety, one of the most extraordinary things that ever happened in a food safety trial that\u2019s happened in the country,\u201d Barnes exclaimed.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Let\u2019s stand with Amos Miller and the Amish for food freedom.
