The bill also restricts\u200d airlines from transporting passengers lacking valid travel documents. The Biden administration&#8217;s immigration policies are under scrutiny. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green\u200c (R-TN) is\u200c preparing to unveil the \u200dVALID Act, which aims to prevent illegal immigrants from boarding flights to the US without the necessary documentation. The legislation intends to \u2063bring \u2062consistency in document requirements\u200c for both immigrants and American \u2063citizens. It also includes measures to prohibit airlines from carrying passengers who do not possess valid \u2062travel documents, highlighting concerns\u200d over \u200dthe Biden administration&#8217;s \u2063immigration\u2062 policies.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>EXCLUSIVE \u2014<\/strong> A senior House <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/house-republicans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"immigrants\">Republican<\/a> is poised to introduce legislation that would ban illegal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/immigration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"immigrants\">immigrants<\/a> from flying into the United States from abroad or from the border without the same documents that the general traveling public must have, the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> has learned.<\/p>\n<p>House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) will debut the Verifying that All Illegal Aliens Have Legitimate Documents, or VALID,\u00a0Act on Thursday in an attempt to shut down lawful pathways for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/immigration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>immigration<\/a> that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/biden-administration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Biden administration<\/a> has rolled out and admitted hundreds of thousands of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/migrants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>immigrants<\/a> into the country through.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile Americans must show proper identification to board their flights, illegal immigrants are not required to do so,\u201d Green said in a statement. \u201cIllegal immigrants should have to comply with the same laws as American citizens, especially when it comes to valid identification. Refusing to enforce these laws poses severe national security risks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Green\u2019s bill specifically forbids the Department of Homeland Security agency the Transporation Security Administration from admitting airline passengers through security checkpoints at U.S. airports if they do not have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-supreme-court-rules-to-keep-title-42-in-place-indefinitely\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Supreme Court Rules To Keep Title 42 In Place Indefinitely\">proper travel documents<\/a>, a standard that millions of illegal immigrants released from the border into the country under the Biden administration have been allowed to get around by showing immigration papers obtained while in federal custody.<\/p>\n<p>The bill would also clamp down on foreign and domestic airlines by banning them from transporting passengers who use immigration documents as identification to board a flight.<\/p>\n<p>Green cited DHS agency U.S. Customs and Border Protection\u2019s \u201cCBP One\u201d app as a mechanism that the Biden administration has used to direct immigrants in Mexico to show up at ports of entry along the southern border for appointments, where more than 9-in-10 immigrants are paroled into the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Biden administration is recklessly allowing migrants to use the CBP One app or even their Border Patrol arrest documents as identification. This puts Americans at risk,\u201d Green said. <\/p>\n<p>The bill has 17 co-sponsors so far. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/populist-swing-state-voters-become-key-target-for-democrats-in-2022-midterms\/\" title=\"Populist Swing State Voters Become Key Target for Democrats in 2022 Midterms\">backing similar legislation<\/a> in the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery American needs to show ID to enter our country. So why do we make it simpler for illegal immigrants to come in than for our own people?\u201d Lee said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2023, DHS announced it was expanding the CBP One app to allow immigrants who had made the journey to northern\u00a0Mexico\u00a0but had not yet crossed into the U.S. to apply for an appointment with a U.S. customs officer rather than enter illegally.<\/p>\n<p>By using the app, immigrants could submit biographical information in advance and schedule an appointment at a specific time and date to determine if they met the criteria for being released into the country while waiting for immigration proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Information provided by users, including a picture, could be reviewed and screened against criminal and terrorism databases.<\/p>\n<p>Still, former acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf from the Trump administration said the vetting that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/d-c-mayor-congress-must-open-a-probe-into-security-failures-at-u-s-capitol\/\" title=\"D.C.
