They move as a herd. \u00a0They\u2019re more kind of social animals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cRepublicans, by contrast, are rugged individualists,\u201d he offered. \u201cYou know, we care deeply about our core principles and our philosophy, and we\u2019re not easily moved. And that\u2019s a great blessing usually, but when you\u2019re trying to keep all those cats together and move in the same direction with a one-vote majority, it sometimes presents challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Johnson spoke of the challenge of facing a monolithic Democrat Party that controls the White House and Senate while Republicans cling precariously to a one-vote majority in the House, saying, \u201cWhat some of my colleagues will privately admit, but not always publicly, is they understand that we have the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-leaders-reach-deal-to-fully-transfer-power-to-democrats\/\" title=\"Senate Leaders Reach Deal To Fully Transfer Power To Democrats\">biggest challenge<\/a> that\u2019s ever been presented to the Congress. \u2026 I have virtually zero leverage to be able to negotiate and get a better package. We\u2019ve got to demonstrate to the American people that we can keep the train on the tracks, and so pulling a motion to vacate or removing a Speaker right now is exactly the opposite of what we need to show the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Speaking of the harsh criticism he has received in the media for his devout Christian faith, he said, \u201cI try to follow all the biblical admonitions as I do every day. One of them says you \u2018bless those who persecute you.\u2019 I\u2019m getting a lot of practice in that right now and that is, \u2018A soft word turns away wrath.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe\u2019ve been mocked and I mean mercilessly in the press,\u201d he asserted. \u201cThey\u2019ve tried to attack me and my family \u2013 my wife and children. And look, we\u2019re undaunted by it. I mean that is going to happen if you stand for truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">CBN asked Johnson if he viewed America in \u201cspiritual warfare terms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI do,\u201d he answered bluntly. \u201cI mean, if you\u2019re a Christian, that\u2019s how you understand these things. We\u2019re really in a battle of worldviews right now. It\u2019s not even a battle between Republicans and Democrats anymore. It\u2019s two competing visions over what kind of nation we are, who we are as a people\u2026 remember Marxism, communism, socialism are grounded in the belief that there is no Creator, there is no God. And that\u2019s the essence.
