He\u2019s considered to be one of the greatest running backs in franchise history.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The pro athlete became a notorious figure following the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994. The pair were found stabbed to death outside Nicole\u2019s condo in Brentwood. Simpson was arrested and charged with murder, but was later acquitted following a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jury-selection-for-chauvin-trial-delayed\/\" title=\"Jury selection for Chauvin trial delayed\">high-profile trial<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Simpson and Brown were married from 1985 until 1992. In 1989, Simpson pleaded no contest to spousal abuse.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The trial was a tabloid obsession that captivated the world. He was sentenced to 33 years in prison with a minimum of nine years without parole and was released in 2017 after serving that minimum.
