Drawing inspiration from Reddit&#8217;s &#8220;Am I the A**hole&#8221;\u2064 discussions, Walsh saw the courtroom genre as a\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/facebooks-oversight-board-will-remove-posts-flagged-by-users\/\" title=\"Facebook\u2019s Oversight Board Will Remove Posts Flagged By Users\">natural progression<\/a> in his career.\u200c His blend\u200c of humor and\u200d judgmental persona paved the way for this \u2062comedic courtroom endeavor.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Matt Walsh, Daily Wire host and now highly respected judge, spoke to conservative commentator Charlie Kirk on Wednesday about the inception of his new show \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/show\/judged-by-matt-walsh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JUDGED by Matt Walsh<\/a>\u201d just after the comedy court series dropped its first episode.<\/p>\n<p>Walsh told the Turning Point USA founder that the idea to launch into the courtroom genre came from the \u201cThe Matt Walsh Show\u201d host reading the popular \u201cAm I the A**hole\u201d Reddit forums, where users explain a usually uncomfortable scenario they recently went through and ask if they\u2019re in the wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Walsh boasted, \u201cAs someone who\u2019s been accused of being judgemental pretty much my entire life, it seemed like a natural career path for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo how does this work?\u201d Kirk asked of the new show. \u201cDoes the local magistrate give you some authority, are you a lawyer, what\u2019s the process here that allows you to be somewhat of a judge?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not quite that official,\u201d Walsh replied. \u201cI\u2019m still not quite accepted in the actual legal circles. So these have to be people that come to us, and it\u2019s generally people who would never be allowed to step foot in a real courtroom, and they come to us instead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe real genesis of this is that on my show we used to like to go to the Reddit \u2018Am I the A-hole\u2019 forum, where people have their dilemmas wondering if they\u2019re the A-hole or not,\u201d Walsh added. \u201cAnd so the original idea was like what if we took those cases and on Reddit and did it as a court show?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/exploding-lips-on-a-plane-judged-by-matt-walsh-debuts-with-a-bang\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first episode<\/a> of \u201cJUDGED\u201d started with a bang when the Honorable Judge Walsh oversaw the case of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/judge-matt-walsh-suggests-death-penalty-for-morgan-wallen-following-broadway-chair-incident\/\" title=\"Judge Matt Walsh proposes capital punishment for Morgan Wallen after Broadway chair altercation\">exploding lips<\/a> on a plane. The case saw Daphne Lewis bring a suit against Tam Taylor regarding a payment dispute over cosmetic products they agreed to purchase together.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis told Judge Walsh that she is owed $1,500 for Korean lip filler she ordered for both of them. But Taylor opted to countersue, claiming that her lips literally exploded during a flight at 30,000 feet after getting the injections. Taylor insisted she was owed $5,000 for the medical expenses related to reconstructing her mangled lips.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJUDGED\u201d premiered on Tuesday night with the first episode now streaming for free on DailyWire+, X, Facebook, and YouTube.
