Stephanie Stahl Hamilton to overturn the ban was blocked twice by Republicans in the chamber.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRepublican members rumored to support the repeal chickened out and voted to adjourn instead,\u201d a spokesperson for the Arizona House Democrats posted on Twitter. \u201cWe won\u2019t stop fighting for reproductive freedom in Arizona.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">For the second time today House Republicans stop our effort to bring Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SStahlHamilton?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SStahlHamilton<\/a>\u2019s bill to repeal Arizona\u2019s draconian 1864 total abortion ban to a floor vote. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization\">Dobbs v. Wade\">15-week abortion ban<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At that time, Hobbs promised she would \u201cnot allow extreme and out of touch politicians to get in the way of the fundamental rights of Arizonans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Senate President Warren Petersen and Toma issued a joint statement following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cussin-cheerleaders-supreme-court-case-could-pose-challenge-for-woke-schools\/\" title=\"Cussin\u2019 Cheerleader\u2019s Supreme Court Case Could Pose Challenge for Woke Schools\">high court\u2019<\/a>s ruling saying that there is \u201cat least a 60-day waiting period before any change in the existing law occurs.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cDuring this time, we will be closely reviewing the court\u2019s ruling, talking to our members, and listening to our constituents to determine the best course of action for the legislature,\u201d wrote the Republican leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Federal politicians and political hopefuls from Arizona, however, have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/2959726\/arizona-supreme-court-abortion-decision-state-republicans-ruling-disaster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"chided\">criticized<\/a> the abortion ban and have called for its repeal.<\/p>\n<p>Rep.
