The\u200b latest \u2063Axios-Ipsos poll reveals a \u200bnoticeable \u200cchange in Latino support from\u2064 President \u200dJoe Biden to former President Donald Trump. Biden&#8217;s lead over Trump\u2062 among Latinos \u200dhas decreased to just nine points from an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-57-feminists-forced-abortion-on-america\/\" title=\"How 57 Feminists Forced Abortion On America\">initial lead<\/a>\u2064 of 29 points. This \u200bshift may have implications for swing states\u2063 such as Nevada and Arizona, with a considerable \u2064number of Latinos considering not voting for either candidate and a significant \u2062portion still undecided.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A new poll from the media outlet Axios found that President Joe Biden\u2019s support among the Latino population is eroding while support for former President Donald Trump is rising.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/04\/09\/biden-approval-drops-democrat-popularity-rises-latino-voters\">Axios-Ipsos poll<\/a> found that among Latinos, Biden was only leading Trump by nine points (41-32) as opposed to Biden\u2019s first year as president when the margin was a whopping 29 points (53-24). That could prove pivotal in swing states such as Nevada and Arizona.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIn almost every case, Trump performs better than the Republican brand and Biden performs worse than the Democratic brand,\u201d Ipsos pollster and senior vice president Chris Jackson stated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cBiden\u2019s lead shrinks even further \u2014 to 3 points \u2014 among Latinos who said they plan to vote in November,\u201d Axios reported. 11% of Latinos surveyed said they would not vote for Biden or Trump; 28% said they were still undecided.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Latinos favored Trump by 22 points regarding the U.S. economy and 11 points on fighting crime.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/journals\/european-political-science-review\/article\/solidarity-in-question-activation-of-dormant-political-dispositions-and-latino-support-for-trump-in-2020\/81B1B5FC8A04CE9D970D801FDA1D4F82\">study<\/a> published in the European Political Science Review noted that Trump\u2019s support among Latinos grew between 2016 and 2020, adding, \u201cDespite his anti-immigration positions and policies, the number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/georgia-secretary-of-state-there-will-be-a-recount\/\" title=\"Georgia Secretary of State: 'There Will Be a Recount'\">votes cast<\/a> for Trump unexpectedly increased among members of the group most strongly associated with the issue of immigration. \u2026 We propose a counterintuitive explanation for this trend: due to the activation of dormant political dispositions, it is the very anti-immigration attitudes characterizing Trump that account for his ascendence among Latino voters. Bush won 50.5% of the vote and John Kerry won 47.9% of the vote. Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/campaign\/3870203-these-6-states-will-determine-the-2024-presidential-election\/\">won<\/a> Arizona (which has 11 electoral votes) by 3.6% in 2016 but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/reflections-on-crown-heights-30-years-later\/\" title=\"Reflections on Crown Heights, 30 Years Later\">lost narrowly<\/a> by 0.3% in 2020. Aside from 2020, the only time in the last 50 years that the GOP lost Arizona came in 1996, when Bill Clinton narrowly defeated Bob Dole.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">If Trump were to win both states and retain the states he won in 2020, he would receive 249 electoral votes while Biden would win 289.
