Washington High School in Houston on Monday in which she was a guest speaker, Jackson Lee claimed that the moon was \u201cmade up mostly of gases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo that you have the energy of the moon at night,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JacksonLeeTX18\/status\/1777403218110067050?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1777403218110067050%7Ctwgr%5Efb2b707df89a9434fe3a6de852bb07bede4d25c6%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.foxnews.com%2Fpolitics%2Fspaced-out-sheila-jackson-lee-tells-texas-students-planet-moon-made-up-gases\">said Jackson Lee<\/a>. \u201cAnd sometimes you\u2019ve heard the word \u2018full moon. Sometimes, you need to take the opportunity just to come out and see a full moon is that complete-rounded circle, which is made up mostly of gases. And that\u2019s why the question is: Why or how could we as humans live on the moon? However, the congresswoman\u2019s blunders did not stop there. She also incorrectly categorized the moon as a planet and added that one day, people would be able to live and survive on it. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know about you, but I want to be first in line to learn how to live and survive on the moon,\u201d Jackson Lee said. On Tuesday, she attempted to deflect criticism of her comments with a post on X, formerly Twitter. She claimed she misspoke, insisting she meant to say the sun instead of the moon.
