Co-hosts debated Trump&#8217;s position, \u200cwith some feeling he didn&#8217;t go far enough in protecting the \u200dunborn.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Joy Behar claimed on Tuesday that Republicans \u2013 specifically former President Donald Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence, and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) \u2014 were competing to see who could \u201cmake women\u2019s lives more miserable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Behar made the comments during a discussion on ABC\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-russians-cornered-us-former-pence-spox-says-the-vp-said-one-thing-to-putin-that-left-him-taken-aback\/\" title=\"\u2018The Russians Cornered Us\u2019: Former Pence Spox Says The VP Said One Thing To Putin That Left Him \u2018Taken Aback\u2019\">midday talk show \u201c<\/a>The View,\u201d saying that they were working to \u201cdestroy women\u201d by supporting restrictions or advocating for outright bans on abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Cohost Whoopi Goldberg began the conversation by referencing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/trump-releases-long-awaited-abortion-position-says-policies-should-be-left-to-states\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Monday\u2019s announcement<\/a> from former President Trump, in which he took credit for bringing about the end of <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> and said that he believed abortion legislation should be determined by the states rather than at the federal level. Graham and Pence both pushed back, arguing that Trump had not gone far enough to protect the unborn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s kicking abortion rights back to the states,\u201d Goldberg said of Trump \u2014 despite the fact that abortion legislation reverted to state control immediately following the Supreme Court ruling that overturned<em> Roe v. Wade. <\/em>\u201cAnd it\u2019s not landing well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt landed with a thud with a ton of conservatives,\u201d Goldberg continued. \u201cHis former vp, his minion Lindsey Graham, and anti-abortion activists are slamming it as a betrayal to people who voted for him in 2016 and 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">ABC &#8220;News&#8221; co-host Joy Behar claims Republicans are competing &#8220;to see who could make women&#8217;s lives more miserable.
