Now they will pay up to $1.25 million,\u201d James said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/ag.ny.gov\/press-release\/2024\/attorney-general-james-secures-125-million-conspiracy-theorists-who-intimidated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>statement<\/a> announcing the agreement on Tuesday. The calls included claims that voting by mail would give the government and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/chop-shooting-victims-family-slaps-seattle-with-a-federal-lawsuit-over-botched-communications\/\" title=\"CHOP Shooting Victim\u2019s Family Slaps Seattle With A Federal Lawsuit Over \u2018Botched Communications\u2019\">law enforcement access<\/a> to personal information that would be used illegally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVoting by mail would result in voters having their personal information used by the police to track old warrants, credit card companies to collect debts, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to track individuals for mandatory vaccines,\u201d the speaker on the call said, according to a transcript <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/politics-news\/right-wing-operatives-jacob-wohl-jack-burkman-agree-pay-12-million-mis-rcna147019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>obtained<\/a> by NBC News. \u201cDon\u2019t be finessed into giving your private information to the man.
