Mind\u2019 Amidst Record-Setting Inflation\">average families<\/a> are seeing from their kitchen tables.<\/p>\n<p>Yellen made the assertion during an interview that aired on CNBC, where she concede that some lower-income families might be close to \u201cexhausting\u201d any buffers they may have had with regard to savings \u2014 but insisted that otherwise, household finances and the economy as Yellen said \u2014 and when asked whether she believed the economy would \u201ccontinue to hold up\u201d in the days to come, she replied, \u201cI think we\u2019ve got a good, strong economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve got very strong domestic demand, consumers are holding up \u2014 some low income consumers are perhaps exhausting their buffers of saving that they built up during the pandemic, we\u2019re seeing a little bit more distress at the household level there, but generally households are in very <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nolte-chances-of-american-recession-spike-to-35\/\" title=\"Nolte: Chances of American Recession Spike to 35%\">good financial shape<\/a>, our financial system is generally quite strong,\u201d Yellen continued.<\/p>\n<p>Yellen\u2019s comments come on the heels of a number of polls indicating that average Americans do not agree with her \u2014 and many of them believe they were economically better off under former President Donald Trump than they have been under President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>A recent evaluation of several polls \u2014 compiled in late March by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brookings.edu\/articles\/how-voters-feel-about-the-economy-4-takeaways-from-the-latest-polls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brookings Institution<\/a> \u2014 showed that nearly across the board, Americans don\u2019t believe the Biden economy has done them any favors.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1712759107458000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2Tu_bbgaIzPZlwVTiisdPO\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/03\/05\/business\/economy\/biden-economy-times-siena-poll.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Times poll<\/a> conducted in early March, for example, showed that just 26% saw economic conditions as \u201cexcellent or good.\u201d More than half (51%) said conditions were \u201cpoor\u201d and 23% said that economic conditions were \u201cfair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/d3nkl3psvxxpe9.cloudfront.net\/documents\/econTabReport_mTlzQOB.pdf#page=111\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Economist\/YouGov survey<\/a> published in late March did not paint a rosier picture for Biden: just over one-fifth of voters (21%) believed the economy was getting better, while more than half (52%) said that it was getting worse.<\/p>\n<p>A March poll from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/poll-trump-leads-biden-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS News<\/a> took things a step further, asking voters to directly compare Biden\u2019s economy to Trump\u2019s: when they did so, only 38% rated Biden\u2019s economy as good \u2014 compared to 65% who
