Gen. Certainly, the tensions in the South China Sea are not going away,\u201d National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said last week, referencing Biden\u2019s recent call with Chinese leader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/xi-jinping\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Xi Jinping<\/a>. \u201cThat was an issue that was raised in the president\u2019s call with President Xi just a couple of days ago.
