Many attribute this shift to the insertion of political messages into contemporary films and television shows. Organizations like Good Energy Stories and Define \u2063American \u200care working with Hollywood to\u2063 promote specific agendas, affecting the storytelling quality and prompting audiences to revisit classic content.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There\u2019s a reason some of the biggest streaming hits are often ten or more years old.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Hollywood that produced \u201cFriends,\u201d \u201cThe Office,\u201d \u201cParks and Recreation,\u201d and \u201cSeinfeld\u201d wanted one thing \u2014 to entertain and, by extension, bag big ratings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Today\u2019s Hollywood is different. So says the general public, which just dramatically noted that modern films are <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2024\/04\/03\/nolte-exclusive-by-2-to-1-americans-believe-movies-are-worse-today\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">worse than they were<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  just a decade ago. Re-issues of classic films like \u201cHocus Pocus\u201d sometimes <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/movie\/3783159\/hocus-pocus-just-made-nearly-2-million-in-theatrical-re-release-for-30th-anniversary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">lap newer titles at the box office<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">What changed? You might pin some of the blame on propaganda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While many modern TV shows and movies remain apolitical and free of culture war fallout, many others embrace the new shift. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Not only are today\u2019s storytellers eager to insert their progressive agendas into new projects, but the industry calls upon groups tasked with helping them do just that.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The stories in question often suffer as a result, forcing viewers to scramble for older product.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A new report from Just The News shared how <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/accountability\/media\/groups-coordinate-hundreds-outlets-push-climate-crisis-news-and-entertainment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Good Energy Stories works with Hollywood<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  to \u201cinsert political messages regarding climate change into television, film, and media.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s unclear how many studios or screenwriters have tapped the group\u2019s resources, but it\u2019s hard not to notice how its preferred themes infiltrate movies and TV shows. There\u2019s even a term used for fictional yarns with climate change themes: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.science.smith.edu\/climatelit\/cli-fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cli-fi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">TV and film characters routinely name drop \u201cglobal warming,\u201d \u201cclimate change,\u201d and similar phrases even when the stories have little to do with the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The hard-feminist comedy \u201cBarbie,\u201d for example, featured this line:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You set the feminist movement back 50 years, you destroyed girls\u2019 innate sense of worth, and you\u2019re killing the planet with your glorification of rampant consumerism<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Or consider this bloated bit of dialogue from \u201cMission: Impossible \u2013 Dead Reckoning Part One:\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The next world war isn\u2019t going to be a cold one. It\u2019s going to be a ballistic war over a rapidly shrinking ecosystem. It\u2019s going to be a war for the last of our dwindling energy, drinkable water, and breathable air. Your days of fighting for the greater good are over.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Other movies, like \u201cAquaman and the Lost Kingdom,\u201d directly address eco-concerns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If a film doesn\u2019t name-check climate change it might embrace other parts of the progressive agenda, like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-border-policy-sparks-worry-over-impact-on-pandemic\/\" title=\"Biden border policy sparks worry over impact on pandemic\">open-border policies<\/a>. For that, Define American stands ready to advise eager screenwriters. The group, formed by illegal immigrant Jose Antonio Vargas, says it <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2020\/10\/11\/entertainment\/immigration-tv-shows\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">consulted on 75 film and TV shows as of 2021.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Since then, we\u2019ve seen more fictional stories pushing an open borders narrative like 2023\u2019s \u201cUnseen\u201d documentary and Fox\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/culture\/elise-ehrhard\/2024\/03\/27\/foxs-cleaning-lady-glorifies-illegals-makes-cartel-leader\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe Cleaning Lady\u201d series<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The upcoming Zoe Saldana drama \u201cThe Absence of Eden\u201d suggests yet another sympathetic portrait of \u201cundocumented immigrants.\u201d Here\u2019s the official synopsis:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The\u00a0Absence\u00a0of\u00a0Eden\u00a0takes place at the border between the United States and Mexico \u2026 When Esmee (Salda\u00f1a), a young woman working as a private dancer in Mexico,\u00a0is forced to commit a violent act of self-defense that results in the death of a cartel member, she flees her homeland for sanctuary in the United States\u2026 Before crossing the border, the mother is taken from the group, and Esmee promises to protect her daughter and help them reunite again in America, touching off an interlocking story about people struggling to survive on America\u2019s\u00a0border with Mexico.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hollywood also loves gun control narratives, despite cranking out endless action films teeming with so<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/7-year-old-black-girl-shot-and-killed-in-mcdonalds-drive-thru-black-lives-matter-silent\/\" title=\"7-Year-Old Black Girl Shot And Killed In McDonald\u2019s\u00a0Drive-Thru. Black Lives Matter Silent.\u00a0\">-called \u201cgun violence<\/a>.\u201d For that, screenwriters can turn to Everytown for Gun Safety, a group that regularly canoodles with Hollywood talent to inject their narratives into the stories we see.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Its Creative Council, including Oscar-nominee Julianne Moore, has a long history of shaping Hollywood stories. The Netflix drama \u201cHouse of Cards\u201d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.americas1stfreedom.org\/content\/gun-control-s-hollywood-connections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">created a storyline<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  tied to new gun laws that steered viewers to an Everytown website sharing similar messaging.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Films like 2016\u2019s \u201cMiss Sloane,\u201d which leaned heavily on outside consultants to shape its gun-centric storyline, offer more blatant examples of the collaborations in play.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The University of Southern California (USC) joined the movement, producing a handbook last year <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thereload.com\/usc-highlights-gun-control-groups-talking-points-in-guide-intended-to-influence-hollywoods-depiction-of-guns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">for Hollywood creatives to follow.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Trigger Warning: Gun Guidelines for Media\u201d \u201cprovides guidance on how TV shows, movies, and even news shows should approach issues such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-l-a-d-a-s-husband-who-pulled-a-gun-on-a-blm-leader-requests-diversion-to-avoid-jail\/\" title=\"Former L.A. D.A.\u2019s Husband Who Pulled A Gun On A BLM Leader Requests Diversion To Avoid Jail\">officer-involved shootings<\/a>, gun storage, mass shootings, school shootings, and partner violence.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hollywood\u2019s woke revolution offers another propaganda-like product. Gender-swapped stories abound, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">becoming so commonplace it\u2019s now <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/gina-carano-skewers-disneys-kathleen-kennedy-over-hilarious-south-park-send-up\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a source of mainstream ridicule<\/span><\/a> thanks to \u201cSouth Park.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And then there\u2019s Late-night television, often indistinguishable from DNC talking points.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The line between comedian and White House press secretary blurred beyond belief recently when \u201cThe Late Show\u201d host Stephen Colbert took part in a Biden fundraising soiree. Colbert\u2019s appearance didn\u2019t surprise anyone. The far-Left host relentlessly uses his CBS show\u2019s platform to attack Republicans, deify Democrats, and ignore stories that paint progressives in an unflattering light.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He\u2019s joined, to varying degrees, by fellow late-night hosts Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver and Jimmy Fallon. Comedy Central\u2019s \u201cThe Daily Show\u201d offers a rotating lineup of far-left comedians who essentially do the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Their propaganda-riddled monologues inspired the birth of a new phrase \u2014 \u201cClapter,\u201d meaning \u201cjokes \u201cmeant to draw more applause than laughter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In that regard, Colbert is in a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=c1ZmbRXTKAs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">class by himself<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Colbert cherry-picked comments from Special Counsel Robert Hur\u2019s testimony tied to President Joe Biden\u2019s document scandal. The comic\u2019s monologue could be a gaslighting primer, suggesting Biden\u2019s memory is far sharper than we realize.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That\u2019s not comedy or entertainment. It\u2019s propaganda.
