One GOP county chairman in the state <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/video\/series\/on-the-news\/inside-the-messy-battle-for-the-biggest-swing-state-of-2024\/C3EAE5DD-2D2F-4C4A-89B4-C3BD324F0C18?mod=hp_lead_pos7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"told\">told<\/a> the <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> it has caused a divide in the party.<\/p>\n<p>Washington County Republican Party Chairman Sean Logue said people who want to relitigate voter fraud claims rather than focus on reaching out to voters are a \u201ccancer in the party\u201d and claimed \u201cthey don\u2019t care about winning and losing.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Logue warned the future of the party is in serious doubt as fault lines are breaking the wings apart. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think the party can be unified,\u201d Logue said.<\/p>\n<p>Washington County, once a Democratic stronghold, has voted for a Republican in the presidential election since 2008, and it voted for Trump over President Joe Biden in 2020, 60.84% to 38.06%.<\/p>\n<p>Logue said he still thinks the party can win despite the lack of unity between the two wings of the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWinning begets more winning.
