The report ranks cities \u200cbased on the number of \u200cmillionaires, centi-millionaires, and billionaires. Austin experienced the highest millionaire growth of 110% from 2013 to 2023, linked to the \u2064tech industry&#8217;s presence.\u200c In a recent report by\u2064 Henley\u2063 &#038; \u200dPartners,\u2062 it was disclosed that among the 11 wealthiest\u200c cities in the U.S., three are located in Texas, with Houston taking \u2064the lead, followed by Dallas and Austin. Notably, Austin witnessed a remarkable 110% growth in millionaires \u2062during the period from 2013 to 2023, which can be attributed to the strong presence of the tech industry in the city.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>(The Center Square) \u2013 Of the 11 wealthiest cities in the United States, three are in Texas, according to a new report published by Henley &#038; Partners, a global leader in residence and citizenship by investment.<\/p>\n<p>In its America\u2019s Wealthiest Cities <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.henleyglobal.com\/publications\/usa-wealth-report-2024\/americas-wealthiest-cities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a><\/strong>, which ranks cities by the number of millionaires, centi-millionaires and billionaires, Texas has greatest number of cities with the wealthiest residents. The majority live in Houston, followed by Dallas and Austin.<\/p>\n<p>No other state has three cities listed other than Texas.<\/p>\n<p>The 11 cities with the greatest number of wealthy residents are New York City, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Seattle, Boston, Miami, Austin and Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p>New York City has the most millionaires and centi-millionaires \u2013 349,500 and 744, respectively \u2013 and the second greatest number of billionaires, 60.<\/p>\n<p>The Bay Area has the greatest number of billionaires \u2013 68 \u2013 and the second greatest number of millionaires and centi-millionaires \u2013 305,700 and 675, respectively. Los Angeles ranks third highest in all three categories.<\/p>\n<p>In Texas, Houston has the most in all three categories: 90,900 millionaires, 258 centi-millionaires, and 18 billionaires. Dallas has 68,600 millionaires, 125 centi-millionaires and 15 billionaires; Austin has 32,700 millionaires, 92 centi-millionaires and 10 billionaires.<\/p>\n<p>From 2013 to 2023, Austin saw the greatest growth of millionaires of 110%. Dallas and Houston saw growth of 75% and 70%, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Nationwide, the number of millionaires grew by 62% over the same time period.<\/p>\n<p>Austin\u2019s millionaire growth is attributed to the tech industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeveral <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/state-level-republicans-push-back-on-big-tech\/\" title=\"State-Level Republicans Push Back on Big Tech\">major tech companies<\/a> have moved their headquarters to the city over the past few years, most notably Tesla and Oracle,\u201d the report states. \u201cAustin\u2019s top-end residential market has also been growing rapidly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But as more millionaires have moved to Austin, the state\u2019s capital has become exceedingly less affordable. Home prices have become inflated due to a number of factors and Austin has also gained a large number of high-income renter households.<\/p>\n<p>Over a five-year-period evaluated, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/housing-affordability-nears-the-worst-on-record\/\" title=\"Housing Affordability Nears the Worst on Record\">home prices increased<\/a> by 49% in Austin, high-income renter households increased by 130%, a recent Rent Caf\u00e9 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentcafe.com\/blog\/rental-market\/market-snapshots\/millionaire-renter-households-triple-in-numbers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a><\/strong> found.<\/p>\n<p>Rent Caf\u00e9 defines high-income renters as those making more than $150,000 a year. In 2023, there were 2.6 million high earners living in rentals in the U.S.; \u201camong them is a new ritzy kind of tenant: the millionaire renter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nationwide, the top five cities with the greatest percentage of high-income renters are San Francisco, San Jose, California, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and Boston.<\/p>\n<p>The top five cities with the greatest number of high-income renter households are New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and San Jose, according to a Rent Caf\u00e9 analysis.<\/p>\n<p>In Texas, the cities with the greatest number of high-income renter households are Houston, Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe USA remains the undisputed leader in private wealth creation and accumulation,\u201d the Henley &#038; Partners report states.<\/p>\n<p>The United States has the greatest number of billionaires, millionaires, and centi-millionaires in the world \u2013 5,492,000 millionaires, 9,850 centi-millionaires and 788 billionaires, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The report cites data is from December 2023 and defines wealth as \u201can individual\u2019s liquid investable wealth, which only includes listed company holdings, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/on-inflation-biden-knows-hes-in-dire-straits\/\" title=\"On Inflation, Biden Knows He\u2019s In Dire Straits\">cash holdings<\/a>, and debt free residential property holdings.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to a recent report by Henley &amp; Partners, out of the 11 wealthiest cities in the U.S., three are situated in Texas.
