Before the concert, Carlson said he was thinking about what to say and decided to check the internet, but thought to himself, \u201cThis country is f***ed up\u201d after reading the news.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then I got here, and I walk through the crowd, and I thought \u2018no, no it\u2019s not!&#8217;\u201d Carlson said to the crowd. \u201cThe country they tell me about on the internet is f***ed up. The country that I experience when I walk through this crowd or when I wake up in my town of 100 people in a rural area is a beautiful country, filled with beautiful people.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>The former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Fox-News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Fox News<\/a> anchor went on to state that he had been greeted by a concert attendee ahead of his speech and was told that she was a fan of him. Carlson expressed gratitude for the fan, arguing that this type of interaction is an embodiment of the country that he knows. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cLittle weird, slightly crazy, full of love, and beautiful, and that describes the man I\u2019m here to introduce,\u201d Carlson said, referring to Kid Rock. \u201cYes, it does. If you could take one person out of this nation of 350 million people, and present it to the rest of the world and say, \u2018What\u2019s a real American look like?\u2019 I would say that American would be both disobedient but decent.
