Fetterman emphasized that\u2063 squatters have \u2064no\u200c rights and questioned the \u200dlegitimacy of such\u2063 claims. He \u200d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-jim-jordan-gives-ultimatum-on-the-upcoming-electoral-college-showdown-video\/\" title=\"WATCH: Jim Jordan Gives Ultimatum On The Upcoming Electoral College Showdown (VIDEO)\">raised concerns<\/a> \u200dabout <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/superman-actor-dean-cain-praises-boy-kicked-out-of-class-for-dont-tread-on-me-patch\/\" title=\"Superman's Dean Cain lauds boy expelled for 'Don't Tread On Me' patch.\">lenient crime\u200d policies<\/a>, pointing to\u2062 the tragic case of Detective Jonathan Diller&#8217;s murder to \u200dunderscore the importance of\u200c a strong stance on \u200claw \u200cand\u200d order.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/john-fetterman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Fetterman<\/a> (D-PA) blasted the woke notion of \u201csquatter\u2019s rights\u201d during an interview late this week where he again went against the grain in his party by signaling support for law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSquatters have no rights,\u201d Fetterman <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/04\/06\/us-news\/fetterman-blasts-squatters-violent-crime-i-am-not-woke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> the New York Post\u2019s Jon Levine. \u201cHow can you even pretend that this is anything other than you\u2019re just breaking the law?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am not woke,\u201d Fetterman said, noting that he has always \u201ctried to push back against that,\u201d including when he was the mayor of the small Pennsylvania town of Braddock.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s wild that if you go away on a long trip, for 30 days, and someone breaks into your home and suddenly they have rights,\u201d he sad. \u201cThis is crazy. Like if somebody stole your car, and then they held it for 30 days, then somehow you now have some rights?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman said that the Democrats\u2019 soft-on-crime policies led to the murder of New York Police Department Detective Jonathan Diller, adding that if the suspect is convicted, he \u201cshould spend the rest of his life and in prison, and never have an opportunity to get out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Diller, a husband and father who had served three years on the force, was shot in the stomach while making a traffic stop in late March in Queens. The suspect in the shooting was identified as 34-year-old Guy Rivera, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the car pulled over by Diller when he allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired at the officer. Rivera had 21 prior arrests and was released from prison in 2021 after serving five years for criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to the Post.
