Its name is inspired by Lee Greenwood\u2019s 1984 song \u201cGod Bless the USA,\u201d which is regularly played at Trump\u2019s rallies. The book hit the market ahead of the Easter holiday this year, and the Rev. Al Sharpton <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/no-spike-in-florida-coronavirus-cases-despite-no-mask-mandate\/\" title=\"No Spike in Florida Coronavirus Cases Despite No Mask Mandate\">shared<\/a> his reaction on <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/reidout\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"The Reid Out\">The Reid Out<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never heard him even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/erickson-apocalypse-not\/\" title=\"ERICKSON: Apocalypse Not\">discuss religion<\/a>, less be accused of attending religious gatherings, which is why it is so insulting to me, as one who grew up in the church and been a preacher since I was a boy, for him to not only come with selling Bibles during Holy Week,\u201d Sharpton said. \u201cI mean, this is the week that we that believe in Christ, the real Christ, deal with the crucifixion today of Jesus, Good Friday, and Sunday, the resurrection. And for him to use that as a marketing tool, where the money goes to Donald Trump, not to a cause, not to help the poor, not even to his campaign, to him, which means he\u2019s really doing this to pay off lawyers, to get out of the porn star situation, defrauding bank situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary\u2019s\u00a0Land Center for Cultural Engagement Director Daniel Darling shared his thoughts with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/faith-values\/christian-leaders-react-trumps-god-bless-usa-bibles-more-trump-bible\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Fox New Digital\">Fox News Digital<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrump selling this Bible seems a bit commercial, though I doubt he intended to offend Christians,\u201d Darling said. \u201cHe likely thought he was doing a good thing. But a Bible endorsed by any politician smacks of syncretism and an over-the-top civil religion that cheapens the Bible when it\u2019s used as a political prop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe more bibles that are out there and the more people read it, the better,\u201d Friar Brian Graebe of the New York Archdiocese told the outlet. \u201cThat\u2019s an objective good. I think the troubling aspect here is \u2026 the marketing of it, the Americanization of it, the Trump-ification of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) shared his thoughts during an interview with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/senate\/2946495\/raphael-warnock-slams-trump-selling-bible\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"State of the Union\">State of the Union<\/a><\/em>  on Easter. Warnock is also a pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Atlanta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"State of the Union\">Atlanta<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Bible does not need Donald Trump\u2019s endorsement,\u201d Warnock said. \u201cAnd Jesus, in the very last week of his life, chased the money changers out of the Temple \u2014 those who would take sacred things and use them as cheap relics to be sold in the marketplace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This comes as the RNC and Trump have raised <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/2950953\/money-bank-trump-rnc-announce-fundraising-haul-war-chest-fears\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$65.6 million<\/a>. This is a small cry from Trump\u2019s opponent, President Joe Biden, who reported a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/2956468\/biden-brings-in-massive-90-million-haul-in-march-and-has-192-million-on-hand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> $90 million fundraising haul<\/a> last month. The president\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trumps-next-fundraiser-to-be-biggest-yet-with-anticipated-43-million-in-donations\/\" title=\"Trump's upcoming fundraiser is expected to be the largest yet, with an anticipated donation total of  million\">campaign raised 7 million<\/a> in the first quarter and began the second quarter with $192 million in cash on hand.<\/p>\n<p>Still, Biden\u2019s most successful fundraising day brought in $26 million at a New York City event that featured former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Trump is spending his Saturday at the home of hedge fund portfolio manager John Paulson for a fundraiser anticipated to raise $43 million on Trump\u2019s behalf.
