Whitmer, Media Caught in Another Lie - Anarchist Arrested For Plot to Kidnap and Kill Whitmer Hates President Trump, 'Trump is a Tyrant' (VIDEO)\">press conference<\/a> denying his father&#8217;s involvement in his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-calls-travel-lid-for-wednesday-an-hour-after-bobulinski-interview-airs\/\" title=\"Biden Calls Travel Lid for Wednesday an Hour After Bobulinski Interview Airs\">business dealings<\/a>.\u200b White House\u200b Press Secretary confirmed Biden&#8217;s awareness of Hunter&#8217;s actions.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>White House visitor logs showed that an attorney for Hunter Biden met with one of First Lady Jill Biden\u2019s top aides as well as President Joe Biden himself days before the president\u2019s son defied a congressional subpoena, the New York Post (NYP) <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/04\/06\/us-news\/white-house-meets-with-hunter-bidens-legal-team-visitor-logs\/\">reported<\/a> Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter\u2019s attorney Abbe Lowell had a meeting with Anthony Bernal, who has been an aide for Jill since 2008, in the East Wing of the White House on December 11, 2023, according to the NYP. Visitor logs also showed that Lowell met with Joe Biden, but the Post noted that meeting was most likely in the context of an official Hanukkah reception held the same day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve called on the White House to provide information about whether President Biden sought to influence or obstruct our investigation by preventing, discouraging, or dissuading his son from complying with the subpoenas for a deposition as part of the House of Representatives\u2019 impeachment inquiry, but the White House has refused to provide any information,\u201d House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) told the Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe White House must provide the public with information about the contents of this meeting in order to provide transparency to the American people,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Two days after Lowell visited the White House, Hunter skipped his scheduled deposition with congressional investigators regarding the corruption-focused <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/impeachment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">impeachment<\/a> inquiry into the president. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/house-oversight-subpoenas-hunter-biden-presidents-brother-and-ex-business-associate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">president\u2019s brother, James Biden<\/a>, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/republicans-issue-subpoenas-over-hunter-biden-art-sales\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hunter Biden\u2019s art dealer<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fncs-carlson-if-youre-looking-for-election-rigging-look-no-further-than-media-treatment-of-hunter-biden-saga\/\" title=\"FNC's Carlson: 'If You're Looking for Election Rigging, Look No Further' Than Media Treatment of Hunter Biden Saga\">business associates<\/a>, had also received congressional subpoenas.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter did <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hunter-biden-shows-up-to-capitol-defies-subpoena-for-house-deposition\">show up<\/a> on Capitol Hill the day he was supposed to sit down for the deposition, but instead of meeting with investigators, he held an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-travels-to-ohio-for-infrastructure-speech\/\" title=\"Joe Biden travels to Ohio for infrastructure speech\">impromptu press conference<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/greg_price11\/status\/1734948300485243130\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">denying<\/a> that his father was \u201cfinancially involved\u201d in his business affairs, including in dealings abroad with people from China and Ukraine, as well as his investments domestically and work as an artist.<\/p>\n<p>White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre later <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/4358693-white-house-president-familiar-with-what-hunter-biden-planned-to-say\/\">remarked<\/a> that Joe Biden was \u201cfamiliar\u201d with what Hunter planned to say at the press conference.<\/p>\n<p>Under threat of being held in contempt of Congress by House Republicans, Hunter finally agreed to sit down for a deposition in late February.
