He was not alone in endorsing Biden as a celebrity, joining the voices of Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and Cher, among others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAm I happy with the state of America right now? Well, that answer\u2019s no,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cDo I believe we\u2019re going to get better? I believe in that. I\u2019m an optimistic guy, and I believe we can get better.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>Few celebrities have endorsed Biden so far this election cycle. However, writer and actress Mindy Kaling, singer and actor Ben Platt, and singer Lizzo gave their endorsements by appearing at Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/2944728\/six-standout-moments-biden-star-studded-fundraiser-obama-clinton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$25 million fundraising event<\/a> in New York last week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at that time. And I thought back then, when we talk about, hey, you know, I\u2019m in this position where I have some influence and it\u2019s my job then \u2014 I felt like that then it\u2019s my job \u2014 now to exercise my influence and share with this, this is who I\u2019m going to endorse,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cAm I going to do that again this year?
