KISS had previously partnered with Pophouse to debut <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/music-industry\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">digitized avatars<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  of themselves at the band\u2019s farewell concert in December. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe record companies, the three big ones that are left, they\u2019re doing a fantastic job, but they have so many catalogs and they can\u2019t focus on everything,\u201d Pophouse CEO Per Sundin said. \u201cWe work together with Universal (Music Group) and KISS, even though we will own the artists rights, and we\u2019re doing it in conjunction with KISS. But yes, we bought all rights, and that\u2019s not something I\u2019ve seen that clear before.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He added that upcoming projects may include a biopic, a documentary, and a KISS experience. Sundin also discussed how he plans to use cutting-edge technology to expose the 1970s rock band to new generations of fans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI don\u2019t like the word acquisition,\u201d KISS frontman Gene Simmons told the outlet of the deal. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cCollaboration is exactly what it\u2019s about. It would be remiss in our inferred fiduciary duty \u2014 see what I just did there? \u2014 to the thing that we created to abandon it,\u201d he told AP. \u201cPeople might misunderstand and think, \u2018OK, now Pophouse is doing that stuff and we\u2019re just in Beverly Hills twiddling our thumbs.\u2019 No, that\u2019s not true. We\u2019re in the trenches with them. We talk all the time. We share ideas. It\u2019s a collaboration. Paul (Stanley) and I especially, with the band, we\u2019ll stay committed to this.
