This study provides insight into how\u200b antisemitism influences college selection.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_78\">\n<p>Campus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/antisemitism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>antisemitism<\/a> is driving most Jewish families to eliminate at least one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>college<\/a> from consideration, according to a new survey, after increased tensions since the Oct. 7 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/hamas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Hamas<\/a> terrorist attack in Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Sixty-four percent of prospective Jewish students have taken at least one school out of consideration, according to the poll from Jewish campus organization Hillel International, with 96% of survey respondents citing concerns about campus antisemitism and 80% citing campus safety as factors in their college decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, 87% of parents of Jewish high schoolers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hillel.org\/87-of-jewish-high-school-parents-say-rising-antisemitism-since-october-7-is-impacting-college-selection-new-hillel-poll-finds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>said<\/a> rising antisemitism is affecting college choices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese findings confirm what we\u2019ve consistently heard from Jewish parents since October 7: They are alarmed by the dramatic rise in antisemitism on campus, and they and their students are changing their approach to the college decision-making process because of it,\u201d Hillel president and CEO Adam Lehman said in a press release. <\/p>\n<p>Hillel claims 1,215 antisemitic incidents have happened since Oct. 7, which it says is a 700% increase from last year during the same time period. <\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Campus antisemitism has become a hot-button issue since Oct. 7, especially given the ousters of two prominent university presidents following controversial congressional testimony about antisemitism.
